ASG pistons and piston heads are parts that are used when servicing and tuning ASG weapons. ASG pistons are found in various types of replicas, including electric-powered models. In this case, the piston and piston head are located inside the gearbox. ASG pistons, as a rule, are made of lightweight but durable synthetic materials, such as polymer. At the bottom of the piston is a bar with teeth. The number of teeth and the material from which they are made depends on the manufacturer and the type of piston. It is common to find ASG pistons made of plastic, but with teeth made of steel.
ASG pistons and piston heads are the parts directly responsible for firing the bullets. In the case of AEG replicas, the piston is pulled by the piston pinion gear. This, in turn, is part of the gear system, which is activated by the motor when the trigger is pulled. As a result of the action of the individual gearbox components, the piston set in motion by the gears causes the mainspring to compress. The piston is released when its contact with the gears is broken.
The expanding mainspring sets the piston in motion again. As a result, a column of air is formed, which passes through the subsequent elements of the gearbox and triggers the firing of the ball. Militaria.pl offers a wide range of parts for repairing and tuning ASG replicas. In addition to pistons and piston heads, we offer gears, springs, cylinders and nozzles, among others. We also sell complete gearboxes, skeletons and many other products for airsoft enthusiasts.
