Throwing knives can give a lot of satisfaction when throwing at a target, after putting in the right amount of time in training. Longer throwing knives will be ideal for learning, as the shorter ones turn much faster, making it more difficult with less practice to get them to hit the target. The best throwing knife will feature good build quality and balance. The weight of the knife also matters, as a heavier knife allows you to hit a more distant target.

Shurikens also make an excellent choice if one is interested in recreational target throwing. In Japanese, the name means a hidden blade. Historically, a shuriken was used, for example, to slow down a chase or distraction, while modern throwing stars will often be purchased for recreational purposes, such as target throwing fun. Shuriken exist in many different varieties, such as happa-shuriken being eight-pointed stars or bo-shuriken resembling rods with sharp tips.
The most convenient solution may be to buy a set of shuriken, usually also with a dedicated case. This makes it possible to throw at the target for a longer period of time, while transporting the shurikens is much easier. Whether one decides to buy throwing knives or shurikens, one can be sure that they will guarantee a good time when throwing at a target. Darts are ideal for practicing marksmanship in leisurely outdoor activities.
