Spotting scopes are products that both the shooter and the fan of nature observation will appreciate. A spotting scope allows you to observe distant objects much more accurately and with more detail. Its design means that an observation scope is able to catch far more light than the human eye. But what leads to the fact that what is small and distant we can view with such accuracy? What's the secret? The structure of the simplest telescope consists of a lens, an eyepiece and a tube. The objective lens is responsible for catching as much light as possible and, thanks to the appropriate profiling of the glass, focusing it onto the eyepiece through which the user views the image.

The tube is responsible for holding the whole system in a compact housing. The larger the lens, the more light enters, while the zoom is not dependent on the size of the lens but on its shape. Nowadays, scopes with variable magnification are also available, making the equipment even more versatile. Depending on the main purpose for which you want to buy a spotting scope, other parameters may be crucial. Let's assume that we are interested in a telescope for stargazing. It would then be worthwhile to get a spotting scope with the largest possible objective lens to absorb as much light as possible, and a large zoom. The second aspect important in such a telescope will be glass with high light transmission. The most popular are two types of glass used for prisms. BK7 glass is made of borocarbon and does not offer as good quality as BaK-4, which offers better brightness and sharpness of the image obtained.

If we want a telescope for sky observation to provide us with good comfort of use, it is worth checking whether it comes with a tripod. By using high magnifications, holding such a telescope in the hands, we will not be able to get a stable image. Even when breathing, the human body works hard enough that holding equipment with magnifications of 20x and above, without a point of support, it will be difficult to get a stable image. Even if the manufacturer does not include a tripod, the equipment usually comes with the ability to be mounted on a standard photographic tripod. Spotting scopes are also very often used by shooters, especially if they are shooting at long distances. One popular type of shooting is long-distance shooting. Such competitions are held at distances ranging from about 250 meters to more than 1,000m. In order to accurately read the hit score and efficiently correct the sight alignment, spotting scopes are a convenient solution. This type of spotting scope often has an adjustable zoom of 20 to 60 times. They are also slightly smaller in size in order to make it easier for shooters to carry all their equipment efficiently. Depending on the quality of the selected product, in addition to the type of glass used, we may encounter such improvements as additional sealing and nitrogen filling or coatings applied to the glass. Additional sealing and nitrogen filling nullifies the possibility of fogging of the lenses in case of sudden temperature changes, such as when leaving a warm car during winter. Anti-reflective coatings applied to the glass in the scopes nullify the reflection of light between the glasses, which could eventually contribute to distortion or deterioration of the quality of the observed image. We encourage you to take a look at the offer of Militaria.pl, where we have models from leading manufacturers of scopes such as Bushnell or Hawke. Thanks to the variety of available models, everyone will find the type of equipment that meets their expectations.
