A significant part of our offer consists of training swords styled after the popular group of Japanese swords (although a more correct term for them would be sabers), namely katanas. The products available in our assortment are made of durable and damage-resistant polypropylene. They can be a good replacement for classic wooden training swords, called bokken in Europe and America (in Japan the name bokuto is used).
Traditional Japanese swords, which are categorized as katanas, feature a curved head with a length in the range of 60 cm to 80 cm. The length of the head (nagasa) is measured from the threshold of the hilt (munemachi) to the tip of the spike (kissaki-no-saki). A blade of this length makes the katana a one-and-a-half-handed sword. A blade of this type is used in kenjutsu training, i.e. learning to wield a sword in virtually any situation (both on the battlefield and in a duel with a single opponent).
