A dog tag, also known as an identity plate, is a piece of military equipment used by almost all armies in the world. It is used to identify soldiers who are unconscious or killed in action. A dog tag usually consists of two metal plates or one that can be broken in half, on which key information is stamped: name, blood type, religion and registration number. To prevent them from clanking while moving, soldiers often connect them with electrical tape.

Military dog ​​tags have taken on many forms over the years, but the most popular are oval plates made of steel, titanium or aluminum with stamped data. The set includes two chains - short and long - and rubber mufflers that muffle the sound of the plates during movement.
