Folding knife Boker Plus Urban Trapper Stubby

Folding EDC (Every Day Carry) knife designed by American knifemaker Brad Zinker. The model combines a slim design with durable materials and a lightweight, modern style characteristic of everyday user folders. Compact dimensions and low weight make the knife suitable for everyday carrying in a pocket or EDC organizer.

VG-10 stainless steel and stonewash finish

The blade is made from Japanese VG-10 stainless steel, developed by Takefu Special Steel. The raw material is characterized by a combination of high corrosion resistance and excellent cutting properties. The carbon content ensures hardness, while chromium guarantees stainlessness and increases wear resistance. This steel also contains vanadium, molybdenum, cobalt, silicon, and manganese, which improve its hardenability and resistance to micro-damage.

The blade surface is finished with the Stonewash method, reducing the visibility of minor scratches and wear marks that occur during daily work.

clip-point blade, jimping

The model uses a blade with a Clip-Point profile with a clearly defined tip that facilitates making precise cuts and tasks requiring greater control over the blade. Slim blade geometry improves the knife's cutting properties during use. On the spine of the blade, there is jimping which improves thumb support and increases control during stronger pressure.

liner lock, flipper, ball bearings

The knife is equipped with a flipper working with ball bearings that ensure smooth and quick one-handed blade opening. The applied mechanism improves the knife's operation and increases comfort in daily use. When open, the blade is secured with a solid Liner Lock that prevents accidental closure during use.

G10 laminate handle, clip, holster included

The handle scales are made from G10 laminate in black, resistant to moisture and mechanical damage. Non-slip texture of the surface improves grip confidence and control over the knife during use. The design is complemented by a springy clip allowing for convenient carrying of the knife in a pocket or attached to gear components.

The set includes a nylon holster for convenient carrying and safe storage of the tool during transport.

Boker is a German knife manufacturer with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo – “Tree Brand.” In 1830, the company was already producing up to 2000 sabers per week, which were sent to battlefields across Europe. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the US, Canada, and Mexico, establishing recognizable subsidiaries. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handcrafted collector's and utility knives, including those made of steel recovered from historical objects such as the Tripitz battleship. The brand offers four lines: Boker Manufaktur Solingen, Boker Plus, Magnum, and Arbolito. Boker products are valued by collectors, uniformed services, and chefs around the world.

VG-10 feature
VG-10
VG-10 is a premium Japanese stainless steel developed by Takefu Special Steel specifically for knife production. It features a unique combination of high corrosion resistance and excellent cutting properties. Its carbon content (0.95-1.05%) ensures high hardness, while chromium (14.5-15.5%) guarantees stainlessness and increases abrasion resistance. This steel also contains vanadium (0.2-0.3%), molybdenum (0.9-1.2%), cobalt (1.3-1.5%), silicon (0.6%), and manganese (0.5%), which improve its strength, hardenability, and resistance to microdamage. After proper heat treatment, VG-10 achieves a hardness in the range of 59-61 HRC, which provides an optimal balance between long-lasting sharpness and ease of sharpening. The steel is slightly less resistant to abrasion than ATS-34/154CM steel, but offers better impact resistance, making it more resistant to cracks and chipping. Although it has high corrosion resistance, it can develop surface rust in unfavorable conditions. VG-10 is mainly used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
