Helikon-Tex Cougar Softshell Windblocker QSA HID Jacket - Olive Green
Constructed from advanced, flexible SharkSkin material, the tactical softshell jacket delivers excellent wind resistance due to the integrated Windblocker membrane. An external teflon coating shields the jacket from water and dirt. The hood—which can be conveniently stowed in the collar—allows for effortless adjustment via drawstrings concealed within the chest pockets, eliminating the need to remove hands from pockets.
Windblocker membrane
The Cougar jacket incorporates a membrane offering a breathability rating of 8000 g/m2/24h. Designed to withstand light atmospheric precipitation and wind, the jacket also enables air circulation to help minimize excessive perspiration.
QSA system, stowable ID panels
Outfitted with a system of concealable ID panels, the jacket allows identification elements to be displayed when necessary. Included blank panels enable customization, so users can print or embroider designations as needed.
Featuring the QSA (Quick Side Access) system, the jacket provides rapid and effortless access to tactical equipment positioned at the waist on either side. Earlier I bought the black one. The Coyote is just as perfect in terms of breathability and pocket layout. The panels are useful at work. The vents under the arms too. The only minus—I wash my neck every day (!!), but ugly marks remain on the collar. Even when the hood is removed and the collar does not touch the body...

My second such jacket, just in a different color. A large number of well-positioned pockets, which have additional compartments. Spaces for identification panels on the chest and back are very useful during service duties. Very good wind protection, a bit worse against rain. The hood covers well. The vents under the arms are useful. The M size for 178 cm is perfect, with a small belly it's a bit too roomy, unless you're carrying a weapon on the belt—then it's fine. The main zipper works very well.

Great jacket, already my second of this type. Practical and very comfortable. The only downside is the rather fragile main zippers. I parted ways with the first jacket because of this, and in the new one the zipper is quite stiff. If not for this, it would be practically indestructible in normal use.
