Ultra-lightweight folding knife from the Slim series, featuring an 8-centimeter blade with a secure locking system. An iconic product crafted by the renowned French brand with over a century of heritage.
The Trailing Point blade is crafted from Sandvik 12C27M stainless steel and boasts a high-gloss polish. Thanks to the flat-full grind approaching a zero-grind and a narrow blade thickness, cutting performance is significantly enhanced. Perfect tool for tasks such as filleting.
A notch on the blade—reminiscent of Victorinox pocket knives—enables swift manual opening. Viroblock locking mechanism, patented in 1955, secures the open blade using a steel ring positioned at the pivot. Rotating this ring after opening ensures the blade slot in the handle is covered, stabilizing the blade during use. The same locking method prevents accidental opening when carried closed.
The handle, made from Padouk wood and finished with a durable, transparent varnish, is ergonomically designed for a steady and comfortable grip. The handle’s structure allows for easy customization, including drilling a lanyard hole or engraving textures and staining in any chosen color.

Opinel is a French knife brand whose history dates back to 1890 in Savoy. The founder, Joseph Opinel, created the first folding knife, No. 08, which quickly became a symbol of everyday use thanks to its simplicity and functionality. In 1955, the Virobloc locking system was introduced, later modernized, which is still the hallmark of the brand today. In 1985, Opinel was recognized by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best-designed objects in the world, and the brand's knives also found their way into the MoMA collection in New York. Production takes place in Chambery, with an emphasis on quality and ecology - the wood comes from French forests and the waste is used to heat the factory. Among the famous users was Pablo Picasso, who used Opinel for carving, and the knives themselves have become a symbol of simplicity, durability, and the French lifestyle.
