Salewa Wildfire Edge GTX Woman's Shoes - Violet Navy Blazer/Black
Technically advanced durable and lightweight women's approach shoes for hiking in difficult terrain and climbing in the mountains. Designed in collaboration with professional climbers and mountain guides.
Salewa Switchfit system, Gore-Tex lining
The boots use the Salewa Switchfit system, thanks to which you can easily and quickly lace up the boots just like in climbing shoes. The inner breathable GORE-TEX Extended Comfort lining provides maximum comfort in a wide range of climatic conditions. It keeps feet dry in rainy weather and wicks moisture away from the boot.
Additional rigid plate, Pomoca Speed MTN sole
The Wildfire Edge GTX uses an insole with an extra rigid edge plate just under the forefoot for added directional rigidity, while the rest of the insole remains flexible for good comfort and natural foot movement.
The Pomoca Speed MTN sole is made of durable rubber that provides excellent traction on smooth rock and slabs. The special-profile sole design will perform very well on muddy and soft terrain, providing effective grip in both wet and dry conditions.
Multi Fit Footbed Plus insoles, 3F system
The foot from the front is protected by an additional layer of rubber, which prevents toe bruises. A similar solution is used to protect the edges of the entire foot. Such a solution makes it much more difficult to cause injuries to the foot by protecting its edges from direct impacts on stones or roots. In addition, in the shoes the manufacturer has used a stiffening under the ankle and System 3F to guarantee a good fit and support, while ensuring stability during hiking. The high-quality Multi Fit Footbed Plus (MFF+) insoles can be individually adjusted to the shape of the user's foot.

Gore-Tex is a thin membrane made of polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE), which features a microporous structure. Its structure makes it highly water- and wind-resistant, as well as breathable. The membrane's pores are 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor, which allows it to efficiently wick moisture to the outside. Gore-Tex is widely used in the production of outdoor clothing and footwear.
MFF+ (Multi-Fit Footbed) is a modular shoe insole system with a simple two-piece design connected by Velcro. It allows shoes to be carefully adjusted to accommodate varying degrees of foot tenacity or the use of socks of different thicknesses, thus providing adequate support during long-term use.
The 3F system is a way of connecting three points on the shoe: the instep, the sole and the heel. The system uses a special design based on a steel cable or strong strap that surrounds the ankle, but does not immobilize the ankle joint. This gives the shoes flexibility, lateral stability and a proper fit, which is important especially on uneven or difficult terrain.
Switchfit Adjustment is a system developed by Salewa that allows you to change the profile of a shoe from an approach shoe to a climbing shoe. Footwear equipped with this solution has an additional eyelet through which the laces are threaded to push the heel forward and compress the toes to the tip of the shoe. This procedure provides greater precision in the steps and stability during climbing.
The Pomoca Speed MTN Pro is an outsole made of durable butyl rubber (IIR). Thanks to the material used, it features very good grip on smooth, rocky surfaces in both dry and wet conditions and optimal traction.
