Sky-Watcher Telescope BK MAK 150 OTAW optical tube

A telescope utilizing the Maksutov optical system, renowned for delivering outstanding image clarity and eliminating chromatic aberration. The assembly comprises a spherical meniscus corrector crafted from crown glass, a primary mirror, and a secondary mirror located on the inner surface of the meniscus.

Featuring a tube diameter of 183 mm and a focal length of 1800 mm, the eyepiece drawtube boasts a diameter of 2 inches. Maximum achievable magnification reaches 225x.

For terrestrial viewing, the addition of an erecting lens is necessary to produce an upright, true-to-life image orientation.

No mount is included with the telescope; however, the tube is equipped with an integrated connector, allowing attachment to a photographic tripod. Given its extended focal length, the manufacturer advises using at least an AZ4 (azimuth) or EQ3-2 (equatorial) class astronomical mount.
