Specna Arms Shortie-82 Radio

The Specna Arms Shortie-82 dual-band transceiver has been designed in collaboration with Baofeng for tactical, outdoor, and everyday communication. The model offers maximum transmission power of 5 W and operates in the VHF and UHF bands, providing extensive communication capabilities. The device is equipped with a clear dual-line LCD display, DTMF keypad, Dual Watch function, and FM radio operating in the 65-108 MHz range. The set includes, among others, an antenna, Li-Ion battery, charger with a base, and PTT earpiece.

The transceiver is equipped with a solid body designed for use in demanding field conditions. The large backlit LCD display enables convenient reading of operational parameters and the status of active functions, even in low light. The model has a DTMF keypad and a dual Push-To-Talk (PTT) button, allowing transmission on two different frequencies. The device operates in temperature ranges from -20 deg.C to 60 deg.C, making it suitable for use in both winter and summer. The set also includes a belt clip for convenient carrying of the transceiver.

The transceiver supports two frequency bands: VHF and UHF, allowing communication in different work ranges. The model features a Dual Watch function, which allows simultaneous monitoring of two frequencies, even in different bands, and automatically prioritizes the frequency with an incoming call. The device allows adjustment of channel spacing in the range of 2.5, 5, 6.25, 10, 12.5, and 25 kHz.

The model allows connection of an external PTT earpiece, increasing convenience during tactical operations and work on the move. The transceiver can be programmed both directly from the keypad and from a computer.

The transceiver is equipped with a VOX function that enables voice transmission without using the PTT button. The model supports selective call and CTCSS, DTC, and 1750 Hz tones, which improve communication organization and reduce interference. A keypad lock is also implemented to prevent accidental changes to settings.

The transceiver is powered by an efficient Li-Ion battery with a voltage of 7.4 V and a capacity of 2800 mAh. Charging is done using a mains charger and the included charging base. The power-saving mode used allows for reduced battery consumption during standby mode.
