Astronomical refractor telescope featuring a 150 mm aperture. With a substantial focal length reaching 1400 mm, the instrument facilitates achieving substantial magnification.
Constructed from robust alloy, the optical tube is mounted on a full-sized aluminium tripod, suspended via an EQ-III equatorial mount. This system ensures precise tracking and object location in the night sky using coordinated data from an atlas.
Delivering a maximum magnification of 430x, the finely crafted optics provide detailed lunar observation, revealing surface features such as mountains, valleys, seas, and impact craters.
Superior contrast enables clear viewing of cloud bands on planetary atmospheres and details like the rings surrounding Saturn.
An interchangeable contrast filter optimizes image clarity during full moon phases, while the supplied Barlow lens doubles the range of possible magnifications.
Supplied with star charts and an informational leaflet containing a QR code, which, upon scanning, grants access to a website with additional digital resources from the Young Explorer's Starter Pack.
Engineered for compatibility with professional-grade 1.25' accessories, the system allows for incremental equipment upgrades by integrating supplementary components.
The included erecting lens converts the telescope into an effective terrestrial spotting scope, perfect for observing wildlife, aircraft, or distant land features.

For this price range, the telescope provides a lot of fun. The image is clear, assembly is simple, and observing the moon and stars in the evening turns out surprisingly well.

I bought the telescope as a gift for my son and it turned out to be a great choice to start the adventure with astronomy. It's easy to use, observing brings a lot of fun, and spending evenings together watching the moon and stars is really a wonderful experience.

I do not recommend this telescope at all. It was made on the cheap. - The plastic finder gives a blurry image - The main mirror does not have a sticker in the center, which makes collimation difficult - There is apparently some kind of damping under the mirror made out of a piece of cardboard - The aluminum parts became increasingly hard to move over time - The screws for the legs, counterweight, etc. started to rust - The paint on the counterweight began to peel over time - The gears responsible for up/down, left/right movements broke over time - The focuser has huge backlash and the eyepiece mounting is also poor, with a lot of looseness - The quality of the eyepieces themselves is poor - The dimensions are incorrectly given; this telescope is not 150/1400 but about 150/500 - The rubber knobs are imprecise and slip; they are simply not stiff enough The view through the telescope is average, and that's for over 1000 PLN. All these problems cause chromatic aberration (that rainbow halo), and you can simply buy a decent Dobsonian telescope for this price. I got caught, but I learned from my mistake. In general, after checking more thoroughly, Opticon is not a good choice for anything.

A good telescope, suitable for observing the Moon. You can see Jupiter and Saturn's rings. I recommend buying a smartphone adapter – it makes taking photos easier.
