Welcome to the category where you will find various types of shooting glasses and other eye protection accessories when practicing airsoft or shooting. It is known that the protection of our eyes is a priority when conducting shooting. There can always be a ricochet of a bullet, whether in the form of a shot or a plastic ball. Our eye is very sensitive to any type of injury, and the use of protection in the form of shooting goggles practically nullifies to zero the threat of damage to such an important organ of our body. Remember, whether you are shooting with a wind gun or airsoft replicas, you should always wear goggles! In the airsoft community, you can hear many stories of how goggles protected someone's eyes - whether in the case of a fierce shootout or accidentally during a "respawn." Shooting glasses are subject to standards that they must meet. You have probably already encountered them or noticed strings of marks on your glasses - these are the markings of safety standards. Many people may not understand them, so here is a short download.
First, the eye protection should meet the EN 166 standard in force in Poland and have a declaration of conformity provided by the European Union (CE). Then we have classes of mechanical resistance marked with the letters S, F, B or A. The letter S stands for increased durability, the F mark for resistance to low impact energy of 45m/s, B is an average energy of 120m/s and the highest is class A - it protects against high impact energy of about 190m/s. For airsoft, goggles of class F are sufficient, which means that they are resistant to the impact of an object weighing 0.86g at a speed of 45m/s. Such glasses for ASG can be bought for as little as a dozen zlotys. They will withstand the impact of any ball used in this sport. The important thing is that the goggles will always be F-rated, while shooting goggles will not be rated higher than B. This is because this standard is determined for the entire product, and while the glasses may even be thicker and have a higher resistance, the temples may no longer meet this standard. This is because the A standard is reserved for full face protection. In addition, we can meet the T symbol, which stands for impact resistance at extreme temperatures (from -5°C to +55°C). When we are sure that the models of ASG goggles we choose meet certain standards, we can consider other aspects. It's best to try on several pairs and look at how they fit on your face. They shouldn't leave gaps between your cheek and the glasses, as a bullet fired at an angle can ricochet off our face. Glasses should fit snugly and be comfortable - nod your head a few times to make sure they won't fall off while running or jumping. Look around your surroundings and to the side and check that the frames don't interfere with your angular or upward vision. Eyeglasses feature better air circulation, so they evaporate less often and less during exercise, although it's always a good idea to preserve them with an Anti-Fog product. We also offer professional models of shooting glasses from companies such as Oakley or ESS, which allow you to wear corrective lenses, which will be appreciated by people with vision impairments.
Shooting goggles are larger and considered by some to be less comfortable than glasses. However, they offer a snug fit to the face, ensuring that no stray bullet gets through. They are also more comfortable during physical activities due to straps attached to the back of the head. Air circulation means that they can evaporate more often and more strongly, although it all depends on the shape of our face, as well as the product itself. Again, the use of anti-fog products is recommended. Spectacle wearers may also fancy the chances that their corrective lenses will fit under the cover provided by the goggles, but this is not the norm. In addition, the viewing angle of the ASG goggles is wide and allows you to see a large slice of your surroundings at all times, which will make it difficult to surprise you while playing. The last element you should pay attention to is the colors of the glasses. We can find them in white, yellow and tinted. White are, of course, the most common. Yellow colored lenses are ideal for cloudy weather - during autumn gray, snowfall, rain and fog, at dusk. They will provide greater contrast of vision, brighten the image, reduce glare. They are also a good solution when shooting at closed ranges. Tinted lenses are designed for sunny weather and are meant to prevent the sun from blinding us. More expensive models offer polarization, which will significantly improve the comfort of our vision. Eyeglasses and goggles for ASG will prove useful not only for shooting and outings to the shooting range, but also for a mass of other activities. Depending on the sports we practice, it is worth getting a good pair of ballistic goggles, which, thanks to their increased durability, will be great for cycling, workshop work or driving. Always pay attention to the standards that a particular model of glasses meets, and enjoy the interesting design and functionality of dozens of different models available on our website and in stationary stores.
