Bullet stretchers are familiar to almost all lovers of breech-loaded black-rifle weapons. Their name comes from the fact that, when in contact with the hand of the weapon user, they will actually contribute to the dirtiness of the weapon - this is because the stretcher is an oiled fabric. The purpose of this accessory is to seal the barrel tube when shooting sub-caliber bullets. In addition, they make it easier to load and allow more shots to be fired without cleaning the black-powder weapon first.
When using superscaliber bullets, stretchers are not used, but the sub-caliber ones are best wrapped with their own greased fabric in the form of a stretchers, i.e. a circular cutout with a diameter of more than two diameters of the bullet that will go into our black-rifle weapon. After firing, the aforementioned fabric will leave the barrel along with the bullet, and fall to the ground a short distance from the gun user.
