Several times I was pleasantly surprised. Surprise 1. The manufacturer added a case as a freebie! Surprise 2. The actual weight is 164 grams, and with the case 175 grams. Much less than declared. Surprise 3. The manufacturer assumes someone may use the kettle as a pot and explicitly writes in the leaflet which acidic foods shouldn't be stored in the kettle for long periods. Surprise 4. The 1000 ml capacity is absolutely true. I even managed to fit 1040 ml. Less pleasant things: 1) When there is 1000 ml of boiling water in the kettle, the lid lifts up and water spills out through the spout. I always need less boiling water, so this isn't a problem for me. 2) The workmanship is so-so. In my case, the spout tube was cut unevenly. This doesn't bother me, but it's worth improving because the sharp end could puncture something during transport. 3) The handle gets very hot when the kettle is full. A glove might come in handy. 4) The handle's shape isn't suited for hanging. To be fair, in my 35 years of outdoor practice, I don't really remember ever needing such a function, but if someone had to remove the kettle from the fire with a stick, it would need two handles (like removing a traditional pot with ears). Other than that, it's a kettle like any other. It's hard for me to say where it's made. The Czechs (ALB) boast about producing it locally. But is that really the case? The competition offers Asian products at 2-3 times the price. As with any cookware, I advise being careful with temperatures. Aluminum melts at 660°C, stainless steel at 1400°C. On a campfire, yes, it's possible, but you have to know what you're doing (read up on how to judge temperature by color). For frequent campfire use, there are stainless steel kettles with a slightly different shape (the spout design collects less soot and doesn't pick up odors as much). Who is it for? For 2-3 people. For one person who wants a universal vessel primarily as a kettle (a 1-liter pot will have a similar weight, but pouring water into a cup would be much less convenient).
