After brief tests, I can say that this is objectively a good flashlight for an average price.
Pros:
- The UV diode is 365 nm instead of 400, plus it has quite a long range and power adjustment, at this price it's one of the best available on the market
- The lamp mode is usually nothing special, but with UV it's a game changer (just better to use protective glasses if someone works with it for a long time)
- You can easily use it as a marker or hang it on the back of your backpack without fear of theft, it's only a hundred (PLN)
- It's very slim, which together with floodlight function and a decent clip is ideal for use on clothes or backpack. It always shines where you need it, and with a more focused beam that's often a problem
- Headband mounting does not require an extra part (a nice change compared to the Sidewinder CII which, when mounted for example on a vest, ceases to be a headlamp)
Cons:
- It's a shame there's only one colored diode, with two or three (UV, red, green/blue) it would be perfect
- The clip often gets caught when removing, they could include a second regular one in the set
- The range is good for this size, but for fieldwork it's better to take something stronger
- For some users, turning on at the lowest mode could be better than remembering the last mode
Overall, I highly recommend it.
