Very good radio. The package arrived very quickly. It looks sturdy and has surprisingly good range. I recommend it to everyone. The radio charging stand is very convenient :)
Baofeng UV-5R 5W HTQ USB-C Radiotelephone
Baofeng UV-5RHTQ serves as a compact handheld Duobander (dual-band) radio, delivering a maximum output of 5 watts. Outfitted with a DMTF keypad, dual LCD screens, integrated flashlight and FM radio, this device is ready for demanding field operations. Power is provided by a lithium-ion battery featuring a 1800 mAh capacity, and the battery is easily charged via a USB-C port.
Dual Watch function, backlit LCD screen
A notable capability of this radio is the Dual Watch function, enabling monitoring of two channels simultaneously. Operate within your chosen band on two separate frequencies (transmitting/receiving on the primary frequency while monitoring an auxiliary frequency), and easily switch between main frequencies using a dedicated button. The HTQ version offers vastly enhanced modulation and increased resistance to interference when compared to previous iterations. Featuring a dual display and a 41-position menu, the device provides clear visual information. The backlit LCD screen not only shows alphanumeric data but also integrates icons, offering real-time feedback on most onboard features. Additional features include a flashlight and FM radio capabilities.
Programming the Baofeng UV-5R HTQ is possible directly from the keyboard or via computer using a USB cable. Bundled software offers various functions to streamline grouping and identification processes. Thanks to the VOX feature, users can initiate radio transmission by voice, eliminating the need to manually press the PTT key.
Durable housing, Li-Ion rechargeable battery
Compact construction ensures the model fits comfortably within the palm, while ergonomically positioned keys enable seamless single-handed operation of all features. The mechanically durable housing is engineered to withstand extreme weather conditions. Powered by a lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery with a capacity of 1800 mAh, recharging is accomplished through a USB-C cable.
CTCSS and DCS tones
CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) and DCS (Digital Code Squelch) operation represent two advanced methods in radio communications designed to filter out unwanted transmissions and minimize interference. By utilizing a specific tone or code embedded within the signal, only transmissions carrying the correct code are received. This feature is highly beneficial in environments with multiple operators sharing identical or neighboring frequencies. Both functions play a crucial role in maintaining a clean communication channel and effectively block unintended transmissions from external sources—an essential advantage for both professional and hobbyist radio users.

Great radio, especially at this price. It is compatible and very affordable, and the connection with Baofeng's PTT works excellently. Perfect for outdoor use. I definitely recommend it.
-
Very good quality radio works without any errors. Lots of configuration options. Good range. However, you have to read a bit in the manual. Everything else works really well, I highly recommend it!

Very nice little radio, with the programming cable you don't need to buy anything else, it's enough. Handy, though small and looks a bit funny, but it has good range. Since it's relatively new, it has settings and is programmable, which compensates for its appearance. The only downside is that I had to do a bit of digging in the BF UV-5R manuals, but everything works like a charm. Highly recommend it.
-
The radio works well, has solid range, and the sound is clear and loud. The battery lasts long, and charging via USB-C is very convenient. Perfect for trips outdoors. I recommend it.
-
A very decent radio from Baofeng. I compared it with the UV82 and personally I prefer the latter, but this model also has its fans. You will certainly be satisfied with it.
-
I have two of these radios and I must say they are very good for the price. After unlocking, you can get much more – 136.000MHz - 174.000MHz and 400.000MHz - 519.00MHz. In my opinion, the parameters are very satisfactory.
-
This is the 144-146MHz, 430-440MHz version, so it's very limited. The radio works well, but I don’t see many advantages. I recommend finding a less restricted version, unless you're buying just for the radio itself, then go ahead.
-
This is the best choice in this price range. I give it a 4 because the volume control often turns by itself, which is really annoying, but I definitely recommend it for people on a small budget.
-
Very pleasant little radio. Definitely more handy than the UV-82, although it has a smaller battery, charging via USB-C solves that problem. I recommend swapping the antenna for a smaller one if range isn’t crucial, as the radio becomes even more convenient to use.

Charging via USB-C is a revolution. You can charge it with a power bank, car, or even a solar panel. The range is solid, call quality is good, and it's lightweight and handy. Perfect for camping or off-road driving. Not having to carry a dedicated charger is a huge plus. I recommend it to anyone who values simplicity and versatility.
