The sword was carefully made compared to other cheaper alternatives, and stuns with its very good quality. It's sharp (passed the paper test). The only downside is the lack of a stand—in an inferior version of the sword from the same manufacturer for 179 PLN there is a stand, but it's missing here. However, the katana itself is of the highest quality. I’m attaching some photos to show what it looks like in real life, not in a studio. At this price, just take it and don’t hesitate :)
Faithful reproduction of a classic Japanese Katana sword. Striking piece for display in a living space and a unique present for enthusiasts of Japanese heritage.
Hand-forged and robust, the blade is crafted from 1060 carbon steel. With a polished and sharpened edge, utmost care should be exercised when handling the blade.
The grip is constructed from natural wood, wrapped in synthetic stingray skin, and finalized with a traditional brown braid.
The sheath is wooden, finished with a black lacquer coating.
WARNING!
The blade is sharpened but designed for decorative use. Engaging in combat drills or cutting practice, such as Tameshigiri, demands blades of greater durability.

Boker is a German knife manufacturer with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo – “Tree Brand.” In 1830, the company was already producing up to 2000 sabers per week, which were sent to battlefields across Europe. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the US, Canada, and Mexico, establishing recognizable subsidiaries. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handcrafted collector's and utility knives, including those made of steel recovered from historical objects such as the Tripitz battleship. The brand offers four lines: Boker Manufaktur Solingen, Boker Plus, Magnum, and Arbolito. Boker products are valued by collectors, uniformed services, and chefs around the world.

For those who want to know why the description says it's too weak for cutting practice: The blade itself is good, quite sharp, and the tang is appropriate, about 2-3 cm wide, 18 cm long, and about 4 mm thick (measured by eye). The bamboo pins in the handle work well too. The reason for this note is the wood in the handle. I found at least 4 cracks running almost the entire length of the handle. However, the handle can be replaced, which should solve the problem. The sageo and the handle wrapping aren't the best quality either, but that's just a cosmetic flaw. Overall, I highly recommend it.

The sword is cheap and very good for the price. The only downside I noticed is that after a few not-so-great cuts, the sword becomes less sharp, but it doesn't chip. The only damage I have on the sword is from when I didn't manage to stop it in time and hit a large stone.

Really nicely and well-made sword. I recommend it.

I bought the last piece on 09.06.2022. It's a replica, but it gives satisfaction when you can't get a very expensive product. The blade is sharp and polished to a shine. The watermelon has something to fear......
