Boker Plus Extension Knife

Massive survival knife with a durable construction, equipped with a special mechanism allowing for the shortening and lengthening of the blade depending on the user's needs. In the folded position, half of the blade is hidden in the handle, which significantly reduces the size of the tool and allows for more precise work. The system is operated with a lock button located in the handle, which allows for both folding and unfolding the blade to a full length of 18.5 cm. The design is by German knifemaker Wilfried Hein.

Recurve Clip-Point blade, D2 tool steel

The Recurve Clip-Point blade is made of D2 tool steel with high abrasion resistance. The wave-shaped (recurve) cutting edge provides excellent cutting properties. The blade is finished using the stonewashed method, giving it a matte appearance. Prominent belly and precise tip facilitate more intricate, precise work.

G10 laminate handle, steel reinforcements

The profiled handle, providing a secure grip, consists of two scales made of G10 glass-epoxy laminate. The handle features steel reinforcements, increasing the durability of the entire construction.

Blade folding and unfolding mechanism

The model in its construction refers to classic hunting knives with a design that allows part of the blade to be concealed in the handle. The Boker Extension Knife is equipped with a lock button located on the handle, which, when pressed, allows the knife to be unfolded to its full dimensions or to hide half of the blade in the handle. This design allows for comfortable carrying of the knife on a belt due to its limited length and performing tasks requiring greater precision. When unfolded, the knife performs excellently during heavier fieldwork, requiring a larger tool. The blade is locked in both the unfolded and folded positions, changing its position requires pressing the lock button each time.

Kydex sheath

Safe carrying is facilitated by a Kydex sheath with a clip that enables mounting the knife, for example, on a belt. During transportation, the knife must remain in the folded position, which increases comfort when moving with the knife at the waist.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Boker.

Boker is a German knife manufacturer with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo – “Tree Brand.” In 1830, the company was already producing up to 2000 sabers per week, which were sent to battlefields across Europe. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the US, Canada, and Mexico, establishing recognizable subsidiaries. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handcrafted collector's and utility knives, including those made of steel recovered from historical objects such as the Tripitz battleship. The brand offers four lines: Boker Manufaktur Solingen, Boker Plus, Magnum, and Arbolito. Boker products are valued by collectors, uniformed services, and chefs around the world.

D2 feature
D2
D2 is a high-carbon tool steel classified as semi-stainless, characterized by high wear resistance and the ability to maintain a thin, durable edge. It achieves a hardness of 57-62 HRC, which ensures long-lasting sharpness even with intensive use. Its chemical composition is a precisely selected combination of elements: carbon (1.4-1.6%), chromium (11-13%), molybdenum (up to 0.8%), vanadium (up to 1%), manganese (up to 1%), and silicon (up to 1%). The high carbon and chromium content ensures hardness and wear resistance, while molybdenum and vanadium improve the strength and durability of the cutting edge. Although D2 steel is not completely stainless, its corrosion resistance is sufficient to meet the requirements of most conditions of use. It is widely used in the production of mid-range and high-end knives, including handmade knives and cutting tools.
G10 feature
G10
G10 is a lightweight and extremely durable material, considered one of the best for knife production. It is created by pressure-pressing fiberglass with phenolic resin, which gives it high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. It is chemically inert, does not conduct electricity, and retains its properties at both low and high temperatures. In terms of parameters, it is similar to carbon fiber, but its production is much cheaper. G10 handles are manufactured by precision cutting and cutting, which increases the cost of processing but ensures a perfect fit and long knife life.
Kydex feature
Kydex
Kydex is a thermoplastic, durable material commonly used in the production of knife sheaths. It is resistant to impact, scratches, and changing weather conditions, and has very low moisture absorption. The sheaths are molded directly onto the knife, which guarantees a perfect fit, high durability, and complete safety—the blade remains securely in place even during dynamic movements. Due to its durability and customization options, Kydex has gained popularity in the tactical and survival industries. Sheaths are often equipped with additional mounting holes with metal eyelets, which increase their durability and allow for easy attachment of buckles, clips, or loops to a belt or harness.
Stonewash feature
Stonewash
Stonewash is a blade finishing technique that involves treating steel in a drum filled with stones, ceramic abrasives, or beads. The impact of the material creates a characteristic, irregular pattern with micro-scratches, giving the effect of a matte, slightly “aged” surface with a raw, practical appearance. The finish gives the knife an aesthetic look and masks minor scratches and marks that occur during use, keeping the blade looking like new for longer. The matte texture reduces light reflections, which is valued in tactical and outdoor knives, and the micro-scratches can further reduce friction during cutting. Due to its durability, discreet appearance, and ease of maintenance, stonewash is popular in EDC, field, and tactical knives.
