Boker Plus Kwaiken Push Button Flipper Folding Knife

Folding EDC knife (Everyday Carry), inspired by traditional Japanese knives, designed by American knifemaker Lucas Burnley. The blade with a Straight Back profile is made from CPM-S35VN stainless steel, known for its high resistance to corrosion and chipping, and its surface is satin finished. The lightweight and durable handle is made from titanium, and in the open position, the blade is locked by a Button Lock mechanism.

CPM-S35VN stainless steel

CPM-S35VN stainless steel, the successor to S30V steel, is produced using powder metallurgy. It is characterized by high corrosion resistance, good edge retention, and easier sharpening compared to S30V. A finer microstructure increases its resistance to chipping. After hardening, it achieves 58-61 HRC, combining edge durability with crack resistance.

Slim blade with a Straight Back profile

The slim blade with a Straight Back profile is 77 mm long and 3.5 mm thick, and its smooth cutting edge is obtained through a flat grind. This geometry provides good control over cutting and is suitable for tasks requiring precision. The blade is satin finished, which gives it a semi-matte surface, enhances aesthetics, and limits the visibility of minor scratches occurring during use.

Titanium handle scales, tip-up clip

The handle scales are made of titanium with a non-slip texture, providing a secure and stable grip. When the blade is opened, the flipper serves as a small, single-sided cross guard that reduces the risk of the hand slipping onto the blade. Daily carrying is facilitated by a springy, steel tip-up clip that allows the knife to be attached to a belt or pocket edge. At the end of the handle, there is a hole for a safety cord.

Flipper opening, Button Lock

The knife is opened with the help of a small flipper, which, combined with ball bearings on the main axis, allows for smooth and easy blade deployment with one hand. The model is equipped with a Button Lock that prevents accidental closing of the knife during use. The lock is released by pressing a button located at the front of the handle.

Boker

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Boker.

Boker is a German knife manufacturer with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo – “Tree Brand.” In 1830, the company was already producing up to 2000 sabers per week, which were sent to battlefields across Europe. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the US, Canada, and Mexico, establishing recognizable subsidiaries. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handcrafted collector's and utility knives, including those made of steel recovered from historical objects such as the Tripitz battleship. The brand offers four lines: Boker Manufaktur Solingen, Boker Plus, Magnum, and Arbolito. Boker products are valued by collectors, uniformed services, and chefs around the world.

CPM S35VN feature
CPM S35VN
CPM S35VN is a stainless powder steel developed by Crucible Industries in collaboration with Chris Reeve, used in premium knives. It is an evolution of the popular S30V steel, offering a better balance between wear resistance, stainlessness, and ease of machining. Carbon (approx. 1.4%) is responsible for high hardness, while chromium (approx. 14%) gives the steel very good corrosion resistance, and vanadium (approx. 3%) extends edge life and improves cutting aggression. After hardening, it reaches 58-61 HRC, combining edge durability with fracture resistance. The steel retains its sharpness for a long time and is easy to sharpen, commonly used in EDC, outdoor, tactical, and collector's knives.
Titanium feature
Titanium
Titanium is a lightweight, extremely durable metal widely used in knife manufacturing, especially in handles, locks, and structural elements. It is characterized by a very high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance, even in contact with salt water. Titanium is slightly more difficult to machine than steel or aluminum, but it can be anodized to produce durable and attractive surfaces in a variety of colors. This material is also hypoallergenic, does not conduct heat as intensely as steel, and is not magnetized. Due to its strength, chemical resistance, and relatively low weight, titanium is used in tactical knives, EDC knives, and premium models designed for intensive use.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
