It's too big to carry in a pocket (it sticks out even after removing the clip and it doesn't look good) or on your belt (it's almost twice as long as the width of an average belt), and it's also very wide for a small knife. For discreet carry and everyday small tasks, the Boker DW-1 works much better. On the plus side: it's well fitted, no looseness, solid workmanship.
The Boker Subcom 2.0 is a compact folding knife crafted for everyday carry, making it an essential component of any EDC kit.
Featuring a clip point blade forged from D2 tool steel, the knife offers a flat-ground edge for effective cutting. Jimping along the spine enhances thumb support, providing stability and safety during use.
Deployment of the blade is facilitated by a user-friendly, ambidextrous thumb stud. Such construction enables rapid opening even as the knife is drawn from a pocket, allowing for swift readiness.
One side of the handle is constructed from Zytel composite with a textured, non-slip surface, while the opposite side is stainless steel. These materials deliver a secure grip, robust durability, and reinforce the frame lock’s strength.
A resilient, deep-carry steel clip ensures convenient daily carry, easily attaching to a belt or pocket. The reversible clip can be set for tip-up or tip-down carry, accommodating both left- and right-handed users. A lanyard or safety cord can also be threaded through a dedicated hole at the back of the handle.

Boker is a German knife manufacturer with a tradition dating back to the 17th century, known for its distinctive chestnut tree logo – “Tree Brand.” In 1830, the company was already producing up to 2000 sabers per week, which were sent to battlefields across Europe. In the 19th century, it expanded its operations to the US, Canada, and Mexico, establishing recognizable subsidiaries. Today, the main factory in Solingen specializes in handcrafted collector's and utility knives, including those made of steel recovered from historical objects such as the Tripitz battleship. The brand offers four lines: Boker Manufaktur Solingen, Boker Plus, Magnum, and Arbolito. Boker products are valued by collectors, uniformed services, and chefs around the world.

Nice little thing. I thought I would unscrew the clip, thread a paracord through it and wear it as a neck knife. But I ended up making a small snake-type lanyard for it, and it fits nicely in light pants. In my piece, the cutting edge is finished very unevenly. The clip grips the pocket fairly tightly. The blade is great, no play at all. Handle fit - no complaints. I get the feeling that it's tiny, but it can do more than you expect. It's definitely not a fidget toy, but it's pleasant to operate one-handed.

Quality of workmanship - PERFECTION. The possibility of discreetly carrying it on a belt. Additionally, I really like being able to move the clip (I prefer the right side, by default it's on the left). It's just three small but solid screws and it's done. Someone who doesn't know would never guess it's a small folding and very sharp knife. I'm considering buying a second one.
