Boxmet Medical Chitogauze XR PRO Hemostatic dressing

Dressing gauze impregnated with a hemostatic chitosan agent, designed for first aid applications and the immediate control of bleeding. Suitable for use in rescue missions, disaster response, and particularly in combat situations. Safe and effective application of the dressing necessitates prior training.

Featuring a bactericidal action, the dressing avoids exothermic reactions, does not cause burns, and will not adhere to the wound. Each sterile pack contains a single strip of compressed gauze measuring 7.5 cm x 3.7 m. The presence of chitosan in the gauze promotes hemostasis by rapidly forming a clot at the bleeding site upon contact with blood. A stable clot develops within approximately 2-3 minutes of application and will remain intact, even when the wound is irrigated with saline solution. Designed for effective control of severe hemorrhage, the gauze includes an X-ray detectable marker, ensuring clear visibility during radiographic examination.
