Celox Foxseal Vented is equipment you buy 'just in case' and hope you'll never have to use it. But when you do need it, it really works. What surprised me most in a positive way is that it’s really simple to use – you just take it out, stick it on, and that’s it; you don’t have to think about the direction, which is really important under stress.
Celox Foxseal Vented Bandage
Vented chest seal engineered for the management and closure of chest wounds. Outfitted with the advanced Hyper-Vent 360st. system and 24 individual ventilation ports. The one-way valve mechanism enables trapped air to exit the thoracic cavity, minimizing the risk of pneumothorax, while effectively blocking external air from entering.
hydrogel with polyurethane film, 24 ventilation holes
Engineered with hydrogel, the Celox Foxseal Vented incorporates an added layer of polyurethane (PU) film over the centrally placed, flexible valve. Designed with a distinctive radial configuration featuring 3 rings, each integrated with 8 ventilation holes, the system includes a total of 24 holes and 512 airflow channels. Such construction allows for optimal venting performance, even when folded, or when secured onto uneven or curved surfaces—including beneath clothing or tactical gear.
safe use
Sterile vented chest seal designed for application by trained medical professionals. Formulated without latex to minimize potential allergic reactions.

Celox Foxseal Vented chest seal bought x2 as equipment for a shooting range (IFAK) first aid kit. Well packaged, the square shape and flexibility make it easier to arrange in the kit.
-
Mandatory equipment for a tactical first aid kit. A big plus is that the dressing can be folded, which makes it fit nicely into belt pouches, even the smaller ones. Long expiration date. And let's not forget that the manufacturer is also a reputable one.

Advantage - a small, flat, neat vented chest seal - it should be in every first aid kit for people involved in shooting, fencing, or other activities where there is risk of penetrating chest injuries. For a BOB (bug out bag), the dressing is essential and it would be foolish not to have it on you - it's really such a lightweight, handy and non-bulky thing, yet so useful in extreme situations, which is rare!

A good dressing at an affordable price. The expiration date until 2028 is a big plus. Quite flexible so it fit nicely in the first aid kit. Hopefully it will only ever be used for training. Definitely recommend.
