Cold Steel Double Agent I Karambit AUS8A Knife

A neck knife featuring a Full Tang build. The karambit-style blade is crafted from Japanese AUS-8A stainless steel. The Double Agent series offers lightweight knives, designed by Zach Whitson—a seasoned instructor and the founder of the Counterpoint Tactical System, inspired by Filipino martial arts.

AUS-8 stainless steel

Engineered from AUS-8 stainless steel, the blade delivers impressive corrosion resistance and outstanding durability.

Warncliff blade profile

Karambits are equipped with a curved, sickle-like blade featuring a Warncliff profile and an integrated finger ring for enhanced grip security. The blade measures 76 mm in length and possesses a thickness of 2.3 mm.

Kray-Ex handle

The handle features Kray-Ex material scales in black, mounted on both sides. Its contoured shape is designed to shield the user's fingers from slipping forward onto the blade inadvertently. The finger hole also functions as an attachment point for a cord or lanyard, helping to prevent loss of the knife.

Secure-Ex sheath

Equipped with a functional sheath utilizing the Secure-Ex system, the set features a chain for convenient neck carry of the knife.

Secure-Ex feature
Secure-Ex
Secure-Ex is a system developed by Cold Steel, designed for the safe storage and convenient carrying of knives and tools. Sheaths made with this technology are lightweight, durable, and weather-resistant, making them suitable even for intensive use. They hold the knife securely in the sheath while allowing for quick and smooth draw. The system has a modular design - the sheaths can be supplemented with various fasteners, such as buckles, clips (e.g., C-Clip) or ball chains. This allows the knife to be worn on a belt, around the neck, or in other configurations, according to the user's preferences.
AUS-8A feature
AUS-8A
AUS-8A is a Japanese stainless steel, equivalent to 440B steel, characterized by a good balance between corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening, and edge retention. The carbon content (0.7-0.75%) affects the hardness of the steel, while chromium (13-14.5%) provides very good corrosion and abrasion resistance. Vanadium additives (up to 0.26%) improve the homogeneity of the steel's crystal structure and increase the blade's resistance to abrasion. The steel also contains molybdenum (0.1-0.3%), manganese (0.5%), silicon (0.4-1%), and nickel (0.49%). After proper heat treatment, AUS-8 steel achieves a hardness of 58-60 HRC, making it a solid material with good cutting properties and durability. The steel is widely used in mid-range knives, mainly produced in Japan and Taiwan, such as the popular Ontario RAT 1.
Grivory feature
Grivory
Grivory is a modern glass fiber reinforced polyamide used in knife handles. It is characterized by high resistance to impact, abrasion, and chemicals, as well as stability in temperature fluctuations and contact with moisture. It retains its dimensional stability even with intensive use, making it a practical solution for EDC knives and outdoor models. Grivory handles are sturdy, lightweight, and comfortable to use, making the material popular among manufacturers who value reliability and modernity.

Very good quality at an excellent price. Very sharp. I only miss the ability to attach it to a belt, but I'm already working on that ;)

Fits perfectly in the hand, but it's worth knowing that this is XL size.

A very cool knife inspired by the karambit. Light, sits securely in the hand. Unfortunately, not in mine... There should be a subcategory called "for mutants" in the knife section ;) Anyway, someone will enjoy this knife, because I will give it as a gift to someone close who is just as obsessed with knives as I am. ;P

Bought yesterday in Gdynia. I absolutely confirm the top-notch quality of workmanship. The sheath holds perfectly. The grip of the knife is excellent in various ways. Besides, if needed, it's a good EDC tool for other tasks considering the blade is only moderately curved for a karambit and the quality of the steel itself.
