After much thought, I ordered this knife and I am satisfied with the purchase. The knife is well made without any flaws, looks good, and its sharpness is at a good level. As a handy piece of blade, it works very well. The knife is worth buying. I recommend it.
Cold Steel Kyoto I Tanto 8Cr13MoV Knife
Engineered for both everyday utility and tactical scenarios, this fixed blade knife draws stylistic inspiration from traditional samurai swords. The Tanto blade is crafted from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, while the black handle features durable Kray-Ex material. Compact dimensions and the addition of a Secure-Ex sheath make the Kyoto adaptable for use as either a boot knife or a neck knife.
8Cr13MoV stainless steel
Equipped with a Tanto style blade, this knife utilizes 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, offering excellent sharpening ease, reliable edge retention, and solid resistance to corrosion. Through appropriate heat treatment, the steel achieves a hardness of approximately 56-58 HRC, striking a balance between steadfast durability and straightforward edge maintenance.
Full Tang construction, scales made of Kray-Ex
Featuring an ergonomically shaped handle, the knife boasts a Full Tang construction and durable scales crafted from Kray-Ex, offering exceptional resistance to mechanical impact and environmental elements. A non-slip surface ensures reliable grip security during operation. The steel cross guard effectively shields the hand from sliding onto the blade while performing tasks. Positioned at the end of the handle, a lanyard hole provides the option to attach a safety cord for added security.
Secure-Ex sheath
A robust sheath equipped with the Secure-Ex system accompanies the knife. The sheath’s network of holes along the edges allows secure attachment to a vest, gear straps, or a backpack.

A wonderful knife that nicely recalls the culture of the Far East, of which I am a fan. And as an EDC knife, it's excellent—easy to sharpen and so on. I recommend it :)))
-
A very nice and solid knife, perfect for doing some small tasks. As for the appearance, it looks really nice and is also useful for outdoor trips and training grounds.
-
Very nice little knife. A decent piece of metal, which inspires my confidence in its durability, yet it's light and handy. It's comfortable to wear at the belt. You can buy a clip, but basically, with a piece of paracord, the attachment possibilities are almost endless. Good price for the quality even without promotion.

Very nice little knife. Judging by the weight, it’s probably full tang. Looks solid. Not too thin as a backup for the forest and not too thick for meal prep. The length is suitable for EDC. Very nice handle texture. A bit too big for me as a neck knife, lacking a sensible way to attach to pants. Definitely a successful purchase!

The knife is 'beautiful' and insanely well-crafted; there's nothing to complain about. It's worth getting a belt clip. The sheath is great. Highly recommended. For use and for your collection.
-
The knife is so well made and looks so awesome that I feel bad using it, so it stayed as a display piece in my collection. I think it's time to buy a second one just for use.
-
After more than a month of use, I can say it’s a revelation. The steel, though quite budget, surprisingly holds its sharpness very well and restoring the edge just takes a few strokes on the rods.
-
Great knife made from good steel, excellent appearance and cutting properties, it can be both a collection piece and a practical neck knife.
-
The knife is small, sharp, handy, well-made, and useful for everyday use.
-
The knife arrived and it’s excellently made, the sheath holds it firmly, it’s razor-sharp and has a badass appearance. Now I'm waiting for its twin brother in the tanto version.
-
Another tanto for the collection. The Cold Steel brand guarantees that the knife won’t fall apart in your hands and will serve well—and that’s exactly the case. Sharp, lovely, comes with a free SecureEx sheath ready to mount, for example, on a backpack. One small reservation—the knife fits pretty well, the grip is as secure as possible thanks to the ribbed rubber handle, but if the handle were 2 cm longer it would fit perfectly. Fits smaller/feminine hands just right.
-
Amazing look, the sheath holds the knife very firmly and securely. This is my 9th knife in the collection and honestly, it’s the sharpest knife—it literally shaves with a single pass and also holds its sharpness for a long time and is super easy to sharpen. 7/5, for now, my favorite knife.

Nice little knife, for me the handle could be 2 cm longer. Otherwise, it’s ok.
