Cold Steel Pro Flight Sport 1055 Throwing Knife
For many years, Cold Steel has crafted professional throwing knives frequently featured in competitions worldwide. Responding to the rising interest in the sport, the American manufacturer has launched the Sport series, catering to both seasoned and novice throwers. Knives in this line uphold the same rigorous standards as high-performance models, though they are lighter and thinner.
1055 tool steel
Forged from 1055 tool steel, the blade delivers an excellent balance between edge retention and ease of sharpening. High levels of hardness and abrasion resistance provide enduring cutting performance, attributes achieved through the elevated carbon content combined with precise amounts of manganese and silicon.
Exceptional elasticity and resistance to impacts make this steel ideal for demanding tasks, ensuring reliability during intense field use or survival scenarios.
Durable construction
Featuring an overall length of 355 mm and a blade thickness of 3.5 mm, the throwing knife comes equipped with a black anti-corrosion coating that effectively minimizes glare. Engineered specifically for sport throwing, the knife caters to both novice users and experienced throwers. Crafted entirely from 1055 tool steel, it guarantees resilience and reliability even under rigorous use. With an optimal weight of 356 g, the knife delivers excellent balance and promotes stable flight dynamics. The ergonomically contoured handle enhances grip and control during throws, optimizing technique without the addition of extra scales, reinforcing the knife's utilitarian focus.

Simple construction, quite resistant to rough use, easy to master. Very good for training. It's worth having it alongside the Cold Steel True Flight Thrower 80TFTC because they are similar in weight (307/318 g) and only slightly different in length (358/303 mm). Both throw similarly, but this one is more forgiving and much cheaper. The downside is the lack of a sheath, and the plastic tip protector is easy to lose. I recommend it. PS: the throwing knife weighs 307 grams, not "356" as stated in the description.

This is my first throwing knife. Flies nicely.
-
Solid and very good for starting your adventure :)
-
Flies like crazy. Holds a good edge. Recommended.
-
Good throwing knife but big.
-
Good workmanship, but terribly big and unwieldy.
-
Very nice, very forgiving. Had to fix the tip after a lucky throw, but since then there have been no problems.
-
Flies well, the steel is highly hardened (in my opinion such hardness is unnecessary in a throwing knife) - I chipped 1mm off the tip during one of the first throws, but after fixing it there were no more problems.
-
Good heavy throwing knife, flies beautifully at longer distances.
-
A light and slim throwing knife. Suitable for many techniques but is best suited for no-spin throws. I recommend it.
-
Great knife, heavy and well balanced. I recommend it!
-
I would prefer if the steel went into thickness rather than length. It is only suitable for rotation throwing and requires some getting used to. But maybe it's just a matter of my technique.
-
Big and unwieldy. It also destroys the target a lot. However, if you can throw, you can manage with it.
-
The perfect knife for throwing. I am very satisfied.
