Omni-Grip LT Sole
Omni-Grip LT sole is a slip-resistant sole (outsole and midsole) used in Columbia footwear, which is a lighter version of the standard Omni-Grip sole, due to special drainage holes in its construction. These holes run from the inside to the outside of the shoe, allowing for efficient moisture wicking. The molded tread with more rubber with micro-grooves provides high grip and stability, as well as an adequate level of traction on various surfaces.

The shoes are comfortable and light, although compared to other sports models they are not the lightest. Ventilation is good, so they will work well in higher temperatures. I would rate their quality as average – at most, they will last one season and they look rather ordinary. The drawbacks include insufficient softness, the lack of a comfortable insole, and poor cushioning. The black version gets dusty quickly. The tread provides rather poor grip on various surfaces, and the materials feel cheap and not very durable – they resemble Chinese sports shoes, and the design is more suited for older people. If you care about good sole grip to the surface, these shoes might not meet your expectations, as the sole wears down quickly. Dust easily gets inside, which may cause discomfort. Foot support is almost like in slippers. I think they work well for driving, though they are not perfect. The anatomical shape around the toes is an advantage. If you don’t care about appearance and don’t walk too much in the city, you can choose them. However, for hot days, they look too heavy and sandals would be a better choice. I chose the right size, so maybe I’ll buy another pair someday, but if any of the drawbacks listed are more important to you, the decision is yours. The price is attractive, the brand is recognizable, which may be an advantage for some people.
