The Kestrel V2 Basic ETU module stands out for its user-friendly operation and versatility. Programming is managed via trigger manipulation. Compatible with both brushed and brushless motors in High Speed and High Torque settings, the system enhances overall reliability while safeguarding internal mechanisms against overload from motor failures or excessive battery consumption.

Kestrel V2 Basic system functions:
- Customizable Pre-Cocking system with an automatic piston position learning feature, enabling adjustment across 5 discrete stages. Battery connection requires a few semi-auto shots for accurate calibration.
Active Brake feature delivers a complete operational cycle with every trigger pull, preventing gearbox stress caused by incomplete cycling.
Locked Rotor Protection aids in securing internal components in the event of motor malfunction.
Battery Drain Protection—shields the unit from over-discharge, signaled by motor vibration accompanied by five blue LED blinks.
Low/High Voltage Protection—the module detects cell count and battery voltage (6V–17V range) and automatically adapts operational parameters.

Designed after the iconic American Colt M16, the replica adheres to the firearm’s original configuration, lacking mounting rails or optic/accessory points. Features include an accurately replicated handguard and a solid, fixed stock. The buttstock terminates in a recoil pad with a non-slip surface for superior shooting stability. A tactical sling mounting point is located under the buttstock, in addition to a QD sling socket.

Standard on this model is a carrying handle, facilitating easier transport. The rifle also incorporates mechanical sights true to the original—front sight and a peep sight positioned on the carry handle.

At the heart of the replica is the gearbox v2, reinforced with components such as a QSC spring guide and low-resistance wiring terminating in a DEANS/T-connect. The flash suppressor attaches via a 14mm left-hand thread, allowing installation of various muzzle devices.

With a base muzzle velocity of 430 FPS, the carbine is highly effective for engagements at medium range. The Hop-Up system imparts spin to BBs, optimizing range and accuracy.
