I'm a fan of Opinels myself, I use the classic carbon version or the Explore version daily. This item was purchased as a gift for a handyman. The recipient is happy and always carries it with him. The knife is made to the highest standard. Super sharp, as is typical for Opinel.

Militaria.pl is a premium dealer of Opinel.
Opinel is a French knife brand whose history dates back to 1890 in Savoy. The founder, Joseph Opinel, created the first folding knife, No. 08, which quickly became a symbol of everyday use thanks to its simplicity and functionality. In 1955, the Virobloc locking system was introduced, later modernized, which is still the hallmark of the brand today. In 1985, Opinel was recognized by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best-designed objects in the world, and the brand's knives also found their way into the MoMA collection in New York. Production takes place in Chambery, with an emphasis on quality and ecology - the wood comes from French forests and the waste is used to heat the factory. Among the famous users was Pablo Picasso, who used Opinel for carving, and the knives themselves have become a symbol of simplicity, durability, and the French lifestyle.

I really like Opinel's solution with bits in the handle, plus the ability to cut and strip wires and cut cords. It's heavier than the regular wooden one. It's worth buying.

I already have a gray Opinel DIY, and now I bought myself a yellow one. The knife is very functional and useful, which is why I got a second one. That's probably the best recommendation. I recommend shopping at militaria.pl.

Hello to everyone who likes Opinel knives. In my opinion, they are very good knives and, above all, very sharp. For me, they are the best for food prep, e.g. peeling anything—they are excellent for that. The carbon steel ones are suitable for woodwork or for the campfire, and they work well with a fire starter. The one I bought comes with bits, which is great. I put it in my bike as a work knife. I recommend Opinel.

I recently discovered the Opinel brand and I’m systematically buying more pieces for my collection. I also took advantage of a promotional price. But is the knife itself useful? So far, I’ve played a little with its functions and possibilities. However, every day I carry my trusty Leatherman Wingman multitool, and that’s still my real workhorse.

A fantastic knife, tradition combined with new design and possibilities. Two bits that are the most useful—great idea and execution.

Very nice Opinel, the screwdriver is useful for adjusting hinges during assembly.
