My go-to socks for the autumn-winter season, they hold warmth well and are comfortable, tested in the Sudeten mountains during winter. The price has gone down, so it’s worth buying these really good quality merino socks.

The socks are very tight, so people with large feet and legs are strongly discouraged, but the advantage is their nice thickness along the whole foot, though they are thinner on the leg.

FreeNord Merino Trek Socks - Black, size 43-46: the socks are comfortable, well sewn, warm. Minus for the cuff, which is too tight (foot size 45). Compared to Benon or Pentagon, this FreeNord model is weaker.

thermoactive merino wool socks at a very respectful price. If you live in western Europe like me, merino is still underappreciated and overpriced. Fortunately Militaria.pl has us covered with awesome high quality socks on the cheap.

There is nothing to complain about with these socks, very good thermal properties, after all, they are merino, just right for winter. After washing, they pill a little, but only slightly. However, the price has jumped by 10 PLN, which is a bit excessive.

I finally found merino socks without see-through material on the top of the foot. The socks are warm, suitable for colder days—although they are quite expensive, compared to similar ones from Helicon and Benon, these are the best. I recommend them.
