DPM Desert Camouflage

DPM Desert is a desert variant of the classic British camouflage DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material), developed in the 1980s in response to Britain's increasing involvement in military operations in the Middle East and other arid regions of the world. The pattern retains the characteristic arrangement of irregular patches known from the forest version, but the color scheme has been adapted for desert conditions. The typical so-called “two-tone desert” version used only two colors - light sand and brown - providing effective camouflage against a background of sand, rocks and scorched vegetation. There were also three-color versions, used in different periods and conditions. The DPM Desert was used extensively by the British Armed Forces during operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and in areas of North Africa.

Great jacket not only for outdoor use. Spacious pockets, protects against wind and moderate rain, comfortable. Plus, an extra point for the wire in the hood, awesome ;D The jacket is from surplus, but it reached me practically new. Awesome.

A solid piece of jacket. Clearly windproof and (surprisingly) quite resistant to rain. The impregnation works well. Comfortable, also covering the backside, and with very spacious pockets.

Encouraged by reviews, I made the purchase. The jacket's condition is very good, price is ok. With my measurements—190 cm tall and 105 cm waist—I took size 190/104. I regret the trousers are already sold out, but I hope they'll be available again in my size.

Today I received my package with the jacket and I regret not buying it earlier; perfect for trips, excursions, and motorcycling. Everything fits in its pockets, no backpack needed. Perfect, warehouse condition, never used. I highly recommend, waiting for availability in forest camouflage.

The jacket isn’t as legendary as the M65, but it's known and valued. Refined construction and cut, great, comfortable pocket arrangement. Huge hood with wire in the brim. Good wind resistance and durability in light rain. A successful compromise for sometimes conflicting demands. PS. Note: you can fit 10 cans of beer into this jacket’s pockets!

Legendary jacket, camouflage is more urban. Professional stitching, buttons on tape, wire in the big hood, excellent pocket capacity (about 10 cans of beer fit in). Withstands light drizzle, blocks wind, but you won't get sweaty.

Awesome jacket, a bit bigger but that's not a problem, there will be room for a sweatshirt underneath, label says 180/104, my measurements are 185/105 and the size fits easily, and as usual, the delivery... 12 hours after ordering, the courier arrives. Greetings to the Militarii team!

The size matches, the cut is rather loose, sizing tends to run larger, these are definitely not tight leggings:). The reinforcement on the edge of the hood is very useful. Very solid workmanship for this price, a great deal.

Great jacket. I'm 185 cm tall and just under 100 kg. Size 180/96 fits perfectly, as if it was made for me. I can easily wear a thick fleece underneath. For colder days, it's ideal and doesn't restrict my movements at all. Sleeves are perfectly long, there's drawstrings in the jacket, nice pockets, and the length is also good—it protects the kidneys and lower back from the wind. The jacket was new, folded neatly in a bag. It might have had a slight warehouse smell, but one day on the balcony and it was gone.

My height: 178, chest 112, I ordered the largest size and I think it works very well. If I need to wear warmer layers underneath, there’s plenty of room to move. It perfectly covers what I carry on my belt from Solognac EDC. Personally, I preferred to make it a parka rather than a jacket because I like my jackets to be looser. To test it in the mountains :)

I very rarely write negative reviews, but this time the situation I found myself in forces me to do so. I ordered this jacket in size 180/96, but due to some incredible mix-up, I received a completely different one and in a size for a giant (196/104, I think). Putting aside the obvious store mistake (returning the item was hassle-free), I'd just like to share some thoughts on the sizing, because at the same time I ordered the same jacket in desert camouflage. I'm 176 cm tall and about 104 cm in the chest, and in this case, the best choice is the 170/96 or even 170/88. That's because, as I found out, the British add about 10 cm of room in their uniforms, so the 170/96 jacket actually measures about 126 cm under the armpits, and for a guy like me, the sleeves are just right and not particularly wide. I hope someone finds this helpful when buying their products, because at this price it's a shame not to buy it, and the military quality speaks for itself. I recommend!

With a height of 176 and chest 104, I ordered the only available size at the time, 180/96, and had to return the jacket because it was much too large and too bulky. Bought again, this time 170/96, and now everything is fine. The jacket is really great, although it's still quite roomy for me (measured under the arms, it's 64cm x2 = 128cm for the stated 96cm in the table, so a lot of space), but of course you always need something under a jacket. The advantages and construction have already been presented by previous reviewers, which I completely agree with, although I don’t quite understand the idea of a reinforced hood, but I’ll look it up somewhere. I’ll see in the fall how good it really is because although it’s desert camo, the jacket is clearly not for hot days.

Oh jacket, if only you had Gore-tex... Seriously though, brilliant cut, great pocket layout, comfortable, wire in the hood, the hood is so that water definitely won’t run down your face. Excellent wind resistance, but heavy rain gets through, though it's surprisingly good in terms of water resistance. I recommend it. A classic that stands its ground.
