The socks lasted two seasons of intensive use, and only wore out after the second winter. Overall, they are definitely recommendable, comfortable, and thanks to their thickness, they do not cause chafing. However, on colder days, they were not enough and I had to wear thinner Pentagon socks underneath.

Helikon-Tex Meriono Socks - Olive Green/Coyote
Warm trekking socks from Helikon-Tex, constructed with a medium thickness and composed of 79% natural Merino wool. Deliver reliable thermal insulation in cold conditions, even when damp, while flat seams enhance comfort on the trail and reduce the risk of chafing.
Merino Wool
Crafted from 79% premium Merino wool, 18% nylon, and 3% elastane, these socks excel in providing comfort during demanding hikes. Merino wool offers inherent antibacterial properties, effectively preventing unpleasant odors even after prolonged use in the field. Gentle against the skin, the material avoids irritation while retaining excellent thermal insulation, even when damp. Nylon fibers enhance the socks’ durability and abrasion resistance, and the inclusion of elastane delivers optimal elasticity and ensures a secure, anatomical fit.
Flat seams
Featuring minimal seams, these socks are designed to lower the likelihood of chafing. Flat seams remain imperceptible against the skin, preventing irritation even on extended treks. Ventilation zones on the upper part enhance moisture management, while a flexible cuff provides a secure fit at the ankle.

I have a problem with sweaty feet and the accompanying odor, so for several years now I have given up cotton socks and use merino ones. I have tested Bridgedale of various thicknesses, Darn Tough, Icebreaker and Smartwool, as well as these. Most of them have an issue with the durability of the merino weave in the nylon or polyester structure, because I wear them out on the pads, but these only lasted 3 months of weekly rotation, which is a rather average result. It's a pity, because I like to support Polish brands, even if the product is Made in China. The advantage is that they cost 50 PLN instead of the 80-90 of other brands. As long as they are intact, they are warm, comfortable, and don't stink, so if you don't have a problem wearing through socks, they might last longer for you...

These socks, compared to the Pentagon ones, have much more merino wool and are thicker. They don't wear out as easily and provide good ventilation for the foot. I treat these socks as special task ones—for longer marches and worse conditions. They do not cause blisters or chafing.

Great socks that are definitely worth having in your gear. Thanks to the merino wool, they wick moisture excellently and—most importantly—do not absorb odors. You can use them for several days in a row outdoors, and they still remain fresh, which is crucial when camping in the forest or on long trails. They are relatively cheap for what they are made of, so the value for money is outstanding. Sometimes you have to wait for them because they sell out quickly, but they are definitely worth it!

Warm and thick. They save your life in winter. In higher temperatures, they remain breathable and your feet don't sweat or chafe. After two weeks of using two pairs alternately every day, there are no signs of wear or damage.
-
Socks worthy of recommendation. Very comfortable, they wick moisture very well. They work well in autumn conditions. They fit the foot well without causing pressure. I recommend them.

They look very good and, although not very thick, they are surprisingly warm. Probably because they have a lot of Merino wool, they are very comfortable and natural to the touch – exactly why I chose them. Maybe for the same reason, they might wear out faster. Still, it’s a pleasure to wear them.

Warm, don't chafe, but the durability is terrible. I bought 3 pairs, and they developed abrasions and then holes on the heels and on the sole of the foot. The manufacturer should reinforce the structure or use a stronger material.
-
Very warm socks - I recommend them both for the city (e.g., for a frosty walk with the dog) and for trips outside the city. Tested with mountain boots in the Tatras, they performed fantastically. I will definitely buy a second pair, highly recommend! 5/5

They fit very well and are comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, their durability is terrible. I bought two pairs and had to throw both away after a few months. One after just 3 months and the other after about seven. Both pairs wore through at the heels and toes, and the material crumbled when rubbed.
-
They fit great, are warm and extremely comfortable. Indeed, they do develop little bobbles, but that's not a big problem. Unfortunately, their durability leaves much to be desired. Over time, I had about eight pairs, of which only two remain – the rest wore out at the heel.
-
Socks worth recommending. Very comfortable, great at wicking away moisture. They work well in autumn conditions. They fit the foot well without causing pressure. I recommend them.

A colleague recommended these socks to me, so despite initial doubts, I decided to buy them and give them a try. During DZSW they worked excellently and I didn't have to worry about warmth. I definitely recommend them, they are worth their price. I will definitely come back to buy them again.
-
I do not recommend these socks. After one use they became very pilled, and after the second use, one of them got a hole (sewn up). The socks are generally warm, but their durability is poor.

Great socks, for military boots and trekking shoes only merino! Of course, after the first wash they get a bit fuzzy, but that’s not a problem with socks. Super comfortable, feet don’t smell, thermal comfort in both heat and frost. I have several pairs and they work great all year round.
