I bought myself a second pair of the same shoes, the first ones (black) I used for several years. The shoe is very comfortable and really waterproof - more than once I stepped into a puddle or mud and nothing soaked through. For trekking shoes, they are quite light. In my opinion, the sole is perfect for long walks on flat terrain and that's exactly how I use them. Because it is quite soft for trekking shoes, it is less suitable for rocky, hard ground. I rate the breathability as tolerable but that's the trade-off for waterproofing. The design is such that they don't look too trekking and are also suitable for everyday wear. I deduct one star for the design - the laces are threaded in only 4 places, not 5 as in most trekking shoes. As a result, the shoe flexes more when walking and bends at the point with the Hi-Tec inscription, just beyond the laces. Over time, my shoes wore out at that spot. I'm still using the old ones, but that's exactly why I bought new ones too. All in all, for this price, they're really decent and worth recommending.
