Strong, reliable knife. My piece doesn't cut perfectly. I'm satisfied with the purchase. I recommend it to those who like Ernest Emerson's design.
A robust and reliable folding knife intended for daily EDC use, engineered by renowned knifemaker and martial arts expert Ernest R. Emerson. Emerson’s blade designs have been chosen by Navy SEALs and utilized by NASA astronauts during missions in space.
Featuring a modified clip point profile, the blade is constructed from premium D2 tool steel, expertly shaped with a partial flat grind and finished with a stonewash technique, which effectively conceals signs of everyday wear. The blade spine is equipped with jimping for enhanced thumb traction and control during operation.
Blade deployment is achieved via a thumb disc situated on the spine, enabling rapid and intuitive opening, even as the knife is withdrawn from a pocket. This mechanism facilitates immediate readiness for action. When extended, the blade is secured by a frame lock, recognized for outstanding durability and dependable locking strength.
The ergonomically shaped handle incorporates one side made from G10 glass-epoxy laminate with an anti-slip surface, while the opposite side utilizes 410 stainless steel, offering both a firm grip and increased resilience for the handle and locking system.
A flexible stainless steel pocket clip provides convenient everyday carry by enabling the knife to be easily fastened to a belt or pocket edge. The clip is reversible, allowing mounting on either the right or left handle scale.

A knife that requires a bit of practice to operate. After a bit of lubrication, opening with the thumb or middle finger is pure pleasure. Pocket opening - awesome. Sharp, solid knife.

Good purchase. The pocket opening is impressive. Sharp and perfectly centered.
-
A taste of Emerson at an affordable price. Comfortable for EDC, quick opening.

Fits well in the hand, sharp and has an interestingly finished blade. Opening "from the pocket" is smooth, but opening the knife with the thumb is resistant. A bit of lubrication and light adjustment will solve the problem. I give it 5 and recommend.
