Kershaw Lightyear 1395 Spring Assisted Folding Knife

A compact folding knife designed for everyday carry (EDC), featuring a spring-assisted blade deployment and a full construction from 5Cr15MoV steel, renowned for its corrosion-resistant properties.

Blade

Featuring a spear-point blade profile, crafted with a flat grind and completed using a sandblasting technique, the blade boasts a semi-matte finish. For enhanced safety, a dedicated notch (jimping) has been integrated on the spine to reduce the risk of finger slippage.

Handle and Sliding-button lock

The ergonomically designed handle is constructed from fiberglass laminate, offering a secure and comfortable grip. Quick and easy knife deployment is made possible using a flipper, which additionally functions as a small guard in the open position to prevent your hand from slipping onto the blade. Reliable operation is guaranteed by the Liner-Lock mechanism. Convenient everyday carry is facilitated by a spring clip, allowing secure attachment to a belt or the edge of a pocket.

    Among budget knives, a very successful design. I really liked the look and shape of the blade. The assisted opening works perfectly and operates well. The lock is basic, but the knife arrived sharp and is very easy to sharpen. It sits nicely in the pocket and, thanks to its low weight, is very comfortable to carry. A great choice for EDC. I recommend it.
