Drop-point heads are characterized by a convex slope of the back toward the tip and a pronounced curvature of the blade belly. Drop-point heads have an increased tip strength and a very well-cutting blade belly. Spear-point heads are characterized by a back profile that mimics the curvature of the blade, dagger-like in appearance, but single-edged. Spear-point heads have dagger-like penetration properties and average cutting properties and durability. Both drop-point and spear-point knives are produced by most of the major brands in the knife industry. These are among the most common blade shapes, both among mass-produced tools and among custom knives. Along with designs such as tanto, bowie, clip-point, and more exotic wedges such as kukri or karambit, drop-point and spear-point knives are the most common and popular blade profiles. In the offer of Militaria.pl you will find the largest selection of this type of design - the world's most famous manufacturers of cutting tools. These include companies such as: Zero Tolerance, Boker (including Boker Plus and Boker Magnum), Benchmade, Hogue, Cold Steel, Kizer, Victorinox, Spyderco, CobraTec, Helle, Ka-Bar, Kershaw, Columbia River Knife and Tool (CRKT), Ontario Knives, Umarex Walther, Gerber, Welde, Leatherman, Joker, Outdoor Edge, Sig Sauer, Schrade, Maserin, First Tactical, Morakniv, Smith&.Wesson, Amare, and many others.

You can work comfortably with spear-point knives, especially if there is a thumb rest on the top edge. Not all models have such an amenity, but it is worth paying attention to it. A spear-point knife is excellent for thrusting. Like daggers, it has a sharp hilt, and its unsharpened top edge of the blade, commonly referred to as "false", although it does not have a typical cutting edge, does not interfere with stabbing. Drop-point knives are handled in a slightly different way. Some of them are also very sharply pointed, although they are used more for slicing and a little less for thrusting. A drop-point knife is a versatile design that will work just fine for everyday carry. Such a tool will be perfect as part of an EDC, a set of items you carry with you every day. EDC, from English everyday carry, are items without which a prepper or survivalist does not move from home. Most often such sets include just a folding knife, less often a knife with a fixed head, a flashlight, a multitool or pocket knife, a fire source, and of course the classics, in the form of a wallet, phone and keys. In this section you will find folding knives, fixed-head knives, pocket knives and multitools. All of the cutting tools with drop-point or spear-point profiles included in this category will prove useful in many different situations, such as campfire, camping, tent outings, bushcraft in the woods or mountain expeditions.

It's up to you to choose your dream knife, but it's a good idea to familiarize yourself with the grades of steel, types of openings and types of sheaths for the knives on offer, so that the tool fits your needs perfectly. No matter what type of knife you choose, it's worth remembering the old survivalist rule that the best knife is the one you always have with you. That's why we recommend knives that you can: pack in your backpack, carry with you in your pocket, and have extra, emergency knives in your car. A knife in the car comes in handy for a great many unforeseen activities. An emergency situation in the middle of a dark and cold forest can happen to anyone, even a person who travels mainly on urban, lighted roads on a daily basis. Contrary to popular belief, there is no legal limit on blade length in Poland. You can own and carry any length of knife, as long as it is not a blade concealed in a non-knife-like object. Classic examples are knives hidden in an umbrella, belt buckle or shoe sole. Of course, it is also forbidden to bring a knife into the parliament and to mass events, such as a football match. There is also no regulation that prohibits the possession of spring-loaded knives, that is, knives in which the opening of the blade is assisted by a special spring. Similarly, popular butterfly knives, known as balisongs, are legal. A good quality knife is also a great gift idea for a loved one. When buying a new tool, it is worth taking care of the maintenance accessories in the form of cleaning fluid and a suitable whetstone.
