Cold Steel Silver Eye Elite S35VN Folding Knife

Silver Eye Elite is a lightweight EDC folder engineered by esteemed knifemaker Andrew Demko in partnership with Cold Steel. Outfitted with a Spear-Point blade crafted from S35VN stainless steel, it delivers reliable corrosion resistance and sports a satin finish for a refined appearance. The ergonomic handle comes in black carbon fiber with a non-slip texture, optimizing grip during use. A deployment hole allows for easy opening, while the reinforced Tri-Ad Lock mechanism guarantees secure and dependable locking.

S35VN stainless steel

Featuring a Spear-Point profile, the blade is crafted from premium S35VN stainless steel (an advanced version of S30V), manufactured with powder metallurgy. Thanks to this, the steel provides superior corrosion resistance, is easier to sharpen compared to S30V, and offers enhanced resistance to chipping due to its finer grain structure.

Spear-Point blade with satin finish

Equipped with an Spear-Point profile, the blade measures 89 mm in length and 3.5 mm in thickness. Both flat sides feature a double satined finish. A hole in the blade, elegantly accented with a silver-colored ring, ensures smooth one-handed deployment.

Tri-Ad Lock

When opened, the blade is secured by the robust Tri-Ad Lock, an advanced iteration of the Back Lock mechanism. In contrast to the original design, the Tri-Ad Lock engages at a greater depth, with the blade bearing against a stop pin under stress for enhanced stabilization. Recognized as the most dependable and rugged locking system found in production folding knives today, it offers unparalleled reliability and durability.

Profiled carbon fiber handle

The handle crafted from carbon fiber provides exceptional durability, hardness, and strong resistance to chemicals. Featuring enhanced visual appeal, the well-contoured shape ensures a secure grip, even when the hand is wet.

spring clip

A robust, steel clip makes daily carrying effortless. A lanyard hole is integrated into the end of the handle for secure attachment.

CPM S35VN feature
CPM S35VN
CPM S35VN is a stainless powder steel developed by Crucible Industries in collaboration with Chris Reeve, used in premium knives. It is an evolution of the popular S30V steel, offering a better balance between wear resistance, stainlessness, and ease of machining. Carbon (approx. 1.4%) is responsible for high hardness, while chromium (approx. 14%) gives the steel very good corrosion resistance, and vanadium (approx. 3%) extends edge life and improves cutting aggression. After hardening, it reaches 58-61 HRC, combining edge durability with fracture resistance. The steel retains its sharpness for a long time and is easy to sharpen, commonly used in EDC, outdoor, tactical, and collector's knives.
Tri-Ad Lock feature
Tri-Ad Lock
Tri-Ad Lock is a lock developed by Cold Steel and Andrew Demko, considered one of the strongest systems in folding knives. Its key element is a stop pin, which takes the pressure from the blade and distributes it to the handle, protecting the lock from wear and overload. The mechanism is designed to self-adjust over time, which maintains the reliability of the lock even after prolonged use. In tests, it has proven resistant to loads of up to hundreds of pounds, confirming its durability.
Carbon Fiber feature
Carbon Fiber
Carbon fiber is a composite material that is exceptionally light and very strong, considered one of the most advanced materials used in knife manufacturing. It is made of thin carbon fibers embedded in epoxy resin, which are then pressed and hardened to form an extremely rigid and resistant structure. Used in knife handles, it provides high resistance to mechanical damage, is not affected by moisture or extreme temperatures, and is chemically inert and non-conductive. It is distinguished by its characteristic layered weave, which gives each handle a unique appearance, particularly valued in premium knives.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.

A knife made of very high-quality materials and excellent steel. It stays sharp for a long time and is really hard to dull. The carbon fiber is very nice, with a great pattern. I recommend it.

  2. K...
    100%

Materials, build quality, and power are pluses, but the cutting properties and price... this knife is rather for brand fans, at this price you could get, for example, a Storm Claud.

  3. R...
    60%

The knife is clunky and not very handy. The materials are very good but I don't really recommend it – for this money, there are many cooler options.
