The knife is perfect for urban EDC. Small size, lightweight, great materials, disappears in the pocket, good ergonomics, the blade has excellent cutting properties and comes excellently sharpened. The lock is rock solid, making it a very sturdy tool despite its size. I think it’s a great alternative to the Spyderco Paramilitary 3 and Benchmade Bugout. Much more solid, maybe not as fidget-friendly, but it gets the job done. Visually, I like it a lot. I recommend it.
Cold Steel Hold Out S35VN Serrated 3" Folding Knife Black
A folding knife designed for everyday carry (EDC). The Spear-Point blade is made of S35VN powder-coated steel, which offers excellent corrosion resistance. The serrated edge has a satin finish. The black handle is made of G10 laminate with a non-slip texture. The knife opens using a double-sided thumb stud, and the Tri-Ad Lock ensures safe use.
S35VN powder steel
The blade is made of CPM S35VN powder-coated steel, which is characterized by high corrosion resistance and excellent cutting edge durability. After heat treatment, it achieves a hardness of 58-61 HRC, ensuring long-lasting sharpness and reliable performance in everyday use.
Spear-Point profile blade, satin finish
The spear-point blade profile has a length of 76 mm and a thickness of 3.8 mm. Outfitted with a serrated edge and a flat grind, the blade excels at slicing through ropes, nets, cords, and other fibrous materials. A satin finish gives the blade a semi-matte appearance, enhancing its visual appeal and offering improved resistance to scratches.
non-slip handle made of G10 laminate, steel clip
The handle is made of G10 laminate, which consists of layers of fiberglass bonded with epoxy resin. This material offers high strength, moisture resistance, and lightness. The grip has an ergonomic shape with a non-slip surface. Holes in the handle reduce the weight of the construction, giving the knife a modern look. A finger groove increases control over the tool, even with wet or dirty hands. The back of the blade features jimping, allowing for a secure thumb rest and increased control over the blade while making cuts.
The knife is equipped with a steel tip-up clip that can be moved to either side of the handle, suitable for both right- and left-handed users.
Tri-Ad Lock, double-sided stud
The knife is equipped with the Tri-Ad Lock system, considered one of the strongest locking mechanisms in folding knives. The lock relies on a stop pin that absorbs pressure from the blade, distributing it to the handle and protecting it from wear. The mechanism self-adjusts over time, ensuring a reliable lock. The blade features a thumb stud on both sides, allowing for quick one-handed opening of the knife.

Great knife. Lightweight and narrow, unnoticeable in the pocket. Pleases both the eye—with its simple and elegant shape resembling a steel leaf, the photos don't do half the justice to how beautiful this thing is—and the ear, as for such a small knife, it's got a very loud click/snap from the blade lock when unfolding/opening the knife.

An excellent EDC. Great steel, small, light, slender, yet with a lot of power in reserve. I sincerely recommend it. The store and customer service, as usual, at the highest level.
-
Very good, compact knife. Small and unassuming, but thanks to the steel used and the lock, it's got a powerful reserve of strength. Very sharp. The teeth do the job—in fact, an absolute massacre. As for the store, of course, I will always recommend it.
-
A great small folder. Good steel, solid workmanship, and flawless mechanism. All in all, the only thing to complain about is... the clip. It's a real pocket destroyer. I recommend it, but I subtract one star for the clip.

Compact, excellent, fits perfectly and disappears in the hand. Arrived sharp. Works like a clock. Reliable mechanism. A wonderful model from the Hold Out family. Good for precise tasks as well as for self-defense. I hope they will bring back the HO2. Store service, as always, deserving a 5. I recommend it.

A very interesting little knife, light and made from good steel. Unfortunately, the clip is too tight, but two pairs of pliers and something to protect it from scratches are enough and you can bend it appropriately :-)

Well-made serration. Very lightweight. Cuts aggressively.

Ultralight, but very solid
