MultiCam represents an advanced camouflage pattern introduced in 2002 by Crye Precision, a US-based company, in collaboration with the United States Army Soldier Systems Center (Natick Labs) within the framework of the Objective Force Warrior initiative. Designed to provide high adaptability, MultiCam delivers effective concealment across diverse types of terrain and under varying environmental conditions. The pattern employs a palette of seven colors, blending gradients of green, brown, and beige for seamless transitions between hues. This design enables MultiCam to respond dynamically to different surroundings, shifting to greener tones in woodland environments and adopting brown or beige shades in arid or desert landscapes—particularly excelling during autumn or in regions characterized by dry vegetation, such as Central and Eastern Europe. Internationally recognized, MultiCam is utilized by a broad range of military and special operations units worldwide. In 2010, the US Army officially selected the pattern for its soldiers deployed in Afghanistan, replacing the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP).
