Lightweight folding utility knife featuring a blade with a Clip-Point profile. Crafted from 5Cr15MoV stainless steel, the blade offers excellent corrosion resistance and is easy to sharpen. Its surface is finished with a matte black coating.
Utilizes a flipper for blade deployment, which doubles as a cross guard to prevent hand slippage. The blade is secured by a Liner Lock mechanism. Smooth and rapid blade opening is ensured by the integration of a ball bearing in the knife's pivot.
Ergonomically contoured handle scales are constructed from G10 laminate, combining epoxy resin with fiberglass. The textured, non-slip surface provides a reliable grip. A resilient steel pocket clip enables convenient attachment to a belt or pocket edge.

This is the second one I bought, this time for a friend. As an owner myself, I'll say that I use this knife daily for various tasks and it's holding up well. Sharpening is easy, the ball-bearing sometimes needs to be lubricated, and you have to make sure not to get it dirty with sand—but that's just the way it is: take care of your things and they'll serve you well.

A few words at the beginning about this folder. Over a year ago I became the owner of the M-TAC Type 5 knife. This medium-sized folder served me daily and nothing bad happened to it. Encouraged by this budget knife, I got myself the M-TAC Type 6 folder for Christmas. What can I say about it – I do not recommend it. After less than two months of use, the Liner Lock stopped locking the blade firmly, which caused it to slightly move up and down and rattle when you shake the knife. I didn't want to risk the lock failing, so for now I've put it on the shelf and started using the Type-5 model again. I already own a few things from M-TAC and this is the first time I've experienced such poor workmanship. I don't know if it's the fault of the lock or the blade, but such things shouldn't happen with occasional use (cutting packages, string, no batoning or any heavy-duty work).
