M05 camouflage

The M05 camouflage (Finnish M05 Maastokuvio) comprises a series of pixelated camouflage designs adopted by the Finnish Defence Forces in 2005, replacing the earlier M91 pattern. Developed with the aid of digital analysis of photographic imagery taken by the Finnish Forest Research Institute in various seasons, these patterns are specifically tailored to mimic the Finnish forest environment. The M05 range features multiple adaptations, including variants for woodland, snow, and cold weather conditions.

The primary woodland variant of M05 features segments of light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite hues, closely mirroring the composition of Finnish woodland. Given the comparable vegetation and landscape, M05 Woodland camouflage is also highly effective in the forests of Central and Eastern Europe, delivering reliable concealment within natural terrain.
