The backpack has a number of features that can be seen as advantages or disadvantages depending on the use. For me, the advantages definitely outweigh the disadvantages. I bought it to carry a small packraft and some gear needed for paddling. My intention was to be able to throw it on wet grass, mud, or sand, and then attach it to the packraft and not worry or care about getting equipment worth several hundred or even more dirty (because good hiking backpacks cost that much). Overall, it worked well. Advantages: - Spacious compartment with regular shape—35L capacity in this pack is definitely more than 40L in a hiking backpack, - Boxy shape, so the pack stands upright when you put it down, you don’t have to lean it against anything, I put it in sand, on grass, and can conveniently unpack it from above, - Molle system, of course, - Thick, rubberized material—perfect for my use, - Compression straps that can be used to attach a foldable paddle to the side, - Watertight closure. Disadvantages: - Not as comfortable to carry as a hiking backpack, especially since there’s no proper hip belt—there’s a strap, but it mostly just loosens while walking and you have to keep tightening it (maybe I'm just not skilled at using it). But it’s not terrible. Overall, I recommend it, although it's a specialized piece of equipment, and you need to have an idea of how to use it. The color is lighter than in the store photos—in fact, the pack looks better (photo attached).
