Bought for my girlfriend for this year's outdoor trip. The knife is small, but for her it's perfectly sufficient. You can make sandwiches, cut meat, and use it for everyday tasks. The small size means you can carry it in your pocket.

Lightweight folding knife featuring a 73 mm blade length. The blade sports a Clip-Point profile, crafted from INOX stainless steel with a semi-matte finish. The full flat grind, combined with the slim blade thickness, delivers outstanding cutting performance.
A notch on the blade enables easy one-handed opening, while the Virobloc lock ensures operational safety. This steel ring, positioned at the blade’s pivot on the handle, must be rotated slightly after opening to cover the blade slot in the handle—securing the blade in place. The lock mechanism also effectively prevents accidental opening when the knife is closed.
The ergonomically contoured handle is constructed from hornbeam wood and coated in a Turquoise lacquer. The handle is easily customizable, accommodating various textures, carvings, or dye colors according to your preference. Moreover, the wooden build allows for a lanyard hole to be drilled at the rear portion of the handle for added functionality.

Opinel is a French knife brand whose history dates back to 1890 in Savoy. The founder, Joseph Opinel, created the first folding knife, No. 08, which quickly became a symbol of everyday use thanks to its simplicity and functionality. In 1955, the Virobloc locking system was introduced, later modernized, which is still the hallmark of the brand today. In 1985, Opinel was recognized by the Victoria and Albert Museum as one of the 100 best-designed objects in the world, and the brand's knives also found their way into the MoMA collection in New York. Production takes place in Chambery, with an emphasis on quality and ecology - the wood comes from French forests and the waste is used to heat the factory. Among the famous users was Pablo Picasso, who used Opinel for carving, and the knives themselves have become a symbol of simplicity, durability, and the French lifestyle.

A timeless classic with French origins. The handle is in the only correct color, purple. Perfect for mushroom picking. The steel is nothing special, but at least you can sharpen it even with a river stone. Truly a proper tool in the right place. I recommend it.

Nice knife. Very sharp and light. Personally, I use it for cutting food, etc., and it is perfect for this. 4 stars because it seems quite delicate and the blade can be bent easily.

Small, pleasant knife. It comes to us quite sharp. It will be in my EDC. It is light and well-made. Really a product worth recommending. Now at a good price.
