Primary Arms Compact PLx 1-8x24 FFP IR ACSS Raptor M8 Meter 5.56/.308 Rifle Scope

Professional LPVO (Low Power Variable Optic) optic offering variable magnification ranging from 1-8x and a 24 mm objective lens diameter. Outfitted with an advanced illuminated reticle, the ACSS Raptor M8 calibrated in meters is situated in the first focal plane. The lenses feature an anti-reflective coating, and the 30 mm main tube is crafted from lightweight yet robust aluminum. Engineered with a compact profile and reduced weight, the model delivers a broad field of view. Precision-designed for dynamic tactical scenarios and sporting use.

Durable anodized aluminum construction

Constructed from lightweight and durable aluminum finished with hard anodizing, the scope body ensures reliability in demanding conditions. The robust 30 mm diameter tube delivers superior shock resistance and robust protection for the optical system against potential impacts.

Japanese ED glass, nitrogen-filled, anti-reflective coating

The tube is pressurized with dry nitrogen and secured with o-rings, effectively eliminating internal lens fogging. High-grade Japanese ED glass lenses, treated with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings, deliver a vivid, high-contrast image with true-to-life colors across diverse lighting environments. These specialized coatings minimize glare and optimize light transmission, ensuring sharp and clear target visibility regardless of ambient brightness or the angle of incoming light. A removable lever on the magnification adjustment ring enables quick and precise changes in magnification to suit varying operational conditions.

ACSS Raptor M8 reticle, illumination intensity adjustment

The optic is equipped with an illuminated ACSS Raptor M8 reticle positioned in the first focal plane (FFP - First Focal Plane), so the reticle adjusts its size relative to the level of magnification. Windage and elevation adjustments cover a 100 MOA range and are managed via turrets, which may be configured as either a capped version or an exposed version with a visible scale, accommodating user preference. Constructed with Steel On Steel technology (SOS), the turrets feature steel-on-steel contact for consistent, precise adjustment across the scope’s operational life.

The optic allows users to control reticle illumination brightness, with specialized settings for both daylight use and compatibility with night vision devices. Brightness is conveniently adjusted through a side-mounted dial. The AutoLive System automatically activates illumination upon detecting movement. Integration of Daylight Visible Technology ensures optimal sight performance in any lighting condition, including bright sunlight. Power is supplied by a single CR2032 battery.

Calibrated in meters, the reticle supports ballistic compensation for commonly used ammunition types—5.56 NATO/.223 Remington and .308 Winchester—greatly simplifying the aiming process. On the lowest magnification, a horseshoe-shaped segment of the reticle enables fast and instinctive target acquisition at close range.

Reticle components allow rapid distance estimation to the target using reference heights, eliminating the need for a separate rangefinder. Horizontal BDC (Bullet Drop Compensation) indicators provide exact bullet drop corrections for distances up to 800 meters. Additional reticle markings for moving target leads enable accurate shots on laterally moving targets by showing the optimal lead point. These features make the scope highly effective for both close-quarters dynamic shooting and precision shooting at intermediate to long distances.

AutoLive feature
AutoLive
AutoLive is an intelligent motion sensor system used in Primary Arms optics that automatically manages the reticle illumination - activating it when the weapon is moved and turning it off when idle. This makes the sight immediately ready for use without the need for manual operation, which increases reliability and extends battery life in tactical and defense applications.
Daylight Visible feature
Daylight Visible
Daylight Visible is a technology used in Primary Arms scopes that provides high-brightness reticle illumination, visible even in direct sunlight. This ensures that the reticle remains clearly visible on the target surface even in intense lighting conditions and does not blend in with the surroundings. This solution speeds up target acquisition and facilitates dynamic shooting.
SOS - Steel On Steel feature
SOS - Steel On Steel
Steel On Steel (SOS) technology in Primary Arms scopes involves the use of steel components in the adjustment turrets, which increases their durability and wear resistance. Unlike brass or plastic-based solutions, steel wears down more slowly, allowing the mechanism to maintain its precision for longer. This translates into more reliable clicks and more stable settings during intensive use.
