M05 Camouflage
Camouflage M05 (Finn. M05 Maastokuvio) is a family of pixelated camouflage patterns introduced to the Finnish Armed Forces in 2005 as a successor to the M91 pattern. It was developed based on digital analysis of photographs of Finnish forests, taken at different times of the year by the Finnish Forest Research Institute. The M05 family includes several variants, including woodland, snow, and cold weather.
The main woodland version M05 consists of patches in light green, dark green, brown, and dark graphite, effectively reflecting the structure of Finnish forests. Due to similar vegetation and terrain conditions, M05 Woodland camouflage is also effective in central and eastern European forests, providing effective concealment in natural surroundings.
