The pot appears to be solid—the welds hold well and the handle shouldn't break off under the weight of the contents, as is said to happen with cheaper Chinese counterparts. The holes in the lid, which are used for straining and prevent it from bouncing during cooking, seem like a good idea. For complete satisfaction, only holes in the upper part of the side walls are missing, which would enable hanging the pot on strings over a campfire. This opinion is given after a thorough inspection at home, as the pot ended up in an escape backpack, and hopefully it will never have to be used.
