First impression is GREAT! Elegance and style of a previous era. Now I just need to assemble some accessories and test it during the first shoot. I can't wait. And I thought I preferred more modern pistols... Sometimes you can surprise even yourself.
Faithfully crafted reproduction of one of history’s most iconic revolvers, initially manufactured by the American company Colt and based directly on the legendary 1873 Single Action Army. The Cattleman is a 6-round muzzle-loading, percussion-cap, black powder revolver.
Outfitted with a 4.75-inch .44 caliber barrel, sights include a fixed front and rear sight. Both the frame and barrel are constructed of blued forged steel. Brass is used for the trigger guard and grip frame, while the grip panels are fashioned from walnut wood.
The 1873 Cattleman model traces its design directly to the famous Colt original, the best-selling revolver of all time that dominated in places like Dodge City, Kansas. The primary distinction is the use of separate charges instead of unified cartridges.
Once manufacture commenced for Bat Masterson of Dodge City’s Long Branch Saloon, the model rapidly achieved popularity among lawmen, settlers, mercenaries, bounty hunters, and outlaws across the “Wild West”.

Uberti is an Italian manufacturer of historical firearm replicas, founded in 1959 in Gardone Val Trompia by Aldo Uberti. The company is famous for its faithful reproductions of revolvers, rifles, and shotguns from the Civil War and the Wild West, which, thanks to modern materials, often surpass the originals in terms of quality. Its replicas have appeared in Sergio Leone's cult westerns, such as “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” and “Once Upon a Time in the West,” as well as in “Dances with Wolves” starring Kevin Costner. Today, Uberti products are prized by collectors and used in Cowboy Action Shooting competitions, where both authenticity and reliability of the weapon are important.

Uberti means quality. Truly a model worth recommending.

I finally bought myself this revolver! It is BEAUTIFUL!! I haven’t shot it yet, I'm still gathering all the necessary accessories and working on getting my European gun card. But I can’t wait to take it to the range. I definitely recommend it to all Colt enthusiasts. The only downside is the lack of a proper holster. The 5.5 inch Remington holster is too big and doesn’t fit well.
