WE Knife Essential Knight M390 Folding Knife - Grey

Compact EDC (Every Day Carry) folding knife crafted for everyday use. Equipped with a Clip-Point blade constructed from high-performance M390 stainless steel. The blade, featuring a flat grind, is enhanced with a satin finish for a sleek, matte appearance. A sturdy Frame Lock secures the handle, while jimping along the blade spine offers precise thumb control. Designed by renowned American knifemaker Jason Knight.

M390 stainless steel

Featuring a blade length of 91.4 mm, crafted from premium M390 stainless steel, guaranteeing exceptional durability, outstanding wear resistance, and reliable corrosion protection. With a hardened rating of 59-61 HRC, the blade achieves an ideal balance of robustness and ease of sharpening.

Clip-Point blade, satin coating

Featuring a flat grind, the Clip-Point blade delivers outstanding cutting efficiency. A satin coating helps conceal light scratches and maintains a clean appearance. Jimping on the blade’s spine grants a stable thumb rest, enhancing grip and blade control during use.

flipper, ceramic ball bearings, Frame Lock

Deployment of the knife is accomplished via a flipper, enabling effortless one-handed opening. The action is made even smoother by a ceramic ball bearing positioned in the knife’s main pivot. Utilizing a ceramic ball-bearing system, the mechanism guarantees rapid and fluid one-handed blade deployment. For blade security after opening, a Frame Lock is employed, seamlessly integrated into the handle’s construction. This design ensures secure use of the knife under demanding conditions.

Titanium handle, tip-up clip

Crafted from 6AL4V titanium, the handle delivers exceptional mechanical strength and superior resistance to corrosion. Outfitted with a springy, titanium tip-up clip, the knife offers reliable, easy attachment to a belt or pocket for convenient daily carry. The clip is designed to be mounted on either the right or left side.

M390 feature
M390
M390 is a premium powdered tool steel from the Austrian steelworks Bohler, distinguished by its high resistance to corrosion and abrasion. It contains 1.9% carbon (hardness and cutting properties), 20% chromium (stainlessness and durability in moisture), 4% vanadium, 1% molybdenum, and silicon, manganese, and tungsten additives to strengthen the structure and elasticity. Thanks to powder metallurgy (PM) technology, it has a fine-grained structure and uniform carbide distribution, which increases blade durability and machining precision. After hardening, it reaches 60-62 HRC. It is used in premium, outdoor, EDC, and hunting knives. In the past, M390 steel was marked with the suffix “Microclean,” but today this technology is a production standard, so the Bohler M390 marking alone is sufficient to confirm the highest quality of the material.
Titanium feature
Titanium
Titanium is a lightweight, extremely durable metal widely used in knife manufacturing, especially in handles, locks, and structural elements. It is characterized by a very high strength-to-weight ratio and excellent corrosion resistance, even in contact with salt water. Titanium is slightly more difficult to machine than steel or aluminum, but it can be anodized to produce durable and attractive surfaces in a variety of colors. This material is also hypoallergenic, does not conduct heat as intensely as steel, and is not magnetized. Due to its strength, chemical resistance, and relatively low weight, titanium is used in tactical knives, EDC knives, and premium models designed for intensive use.
Satin feature
Satin
Satin finishing is one of the most popular blade finishes, achieved by grinding the steel with fine-grained abrasives. Parallel micro-scratches remain on the surface, giving the knife a technical, matte appearance. Satin finishing has both aesthetic and practical significance - a smoothed blade is easier to clean, and the slightly reduced friction promotes smoother cutting. Depending on the direction and intensity of polishing, different effects are achieved - from a matte finish to an almost mirror-like finish. Satin is valued in both utility and collector's knives because it emphasizes the structure and quality of the steel while maintaining functionality.
