The MA1 Flight Jacket, or the iconic "flejers," is Alpha Industries' most popular jacket model. In 60 years of production, only cosmetic changes have been made to it, but why change something proven and comfortable. The MA-1 VF NASA version was equipped with NASA patches on the chest and the US flag on the shoulder.
The jacket is equipped with as many as five pockets. Two inside and two outside with snap closures, as well as one on the left shoulder, where you can store pens or other small items. The pocket on the shoulder is closed with a zipper, to which a ribbon with the words "Remove Before Flight" has been attached.
The MA1 Flight Jacket can be worn on either the right or left side. The inner part was made in an eye-catching orange color scheme, and this characteristic of Alpha Industries models is related to its original purpose for USAF pilots. In the event of a malfunction or shooting down, they had a better chance of being rescued by search services. Nowadays, this ingenious solution can come in handy, for example, when moving along the side of an unlit road outside a built-up area.
The jacket protects against wind and rain or snowfall. A special strip under the zipper prevents the penetration of moisture. Additional protection against the cold are elastic welts on the sleeves, collar and waist belt.

The jacket is great, the workmanship quality is superb. Unfortunately, I had to return it because size L for 180cm height is just too small. It’s a shame that there is no possibility to exchange for a bigger size, only to go through the return process, which takes time. I will still shop at Militaries, because when it comes to delivery time and communication, they are unbeatable.

The jacket is really great. The quality of workmanship is at the highest level, very well sewn! I usually wear XL but after reading the reviews I ordered XXL and it was the right decision. I recommend it!!

Top-level workmanship and quality, the jacket is amazing... I've always dreamed of having one like this. I'm super satisfied with the purchase. At first glance, the size M seems slightly smaller than I expected, but we'll see over time. This is already my second jacket from Alpha, the first was from the Polar Expedition series for winter and I have to admit the company maintains a very high standard. You can tell it's a premium product, just be careful with the sizing, because I usually wear size L and had to buy this jacket in XL. Beautiful workmanship, and that shade of navy blue is really elegant.
