Bennon Terenno High Boots - Black

Robust trekking boots in black, featuring a waterproof and breathable Regi-Tex membrane. The upper is crafted from premium Crazy Horse natural nubuck cowhide with a thickness ranging from 1.8 to 2.0 mm. Designed for versatility, this model pairs seamlessly with both hiking attire and classic denim jeans.

regi-tex membrane, mesh material, PU foam

The Regi-Tex membrane, integrated into the boot's interior, facilitates moisture wicking while offering reliable protection against water penetration. The inner lining of the collar and tongue uses breathable mesh material to enhance airflow. Filled with polyurethane foam, the collar conforms precisely to the contour of the leg for an optimal fit.

Vibram sole S1021, Absorba Plus insole, cushioning areas

Secure footing across diverse terrain is delivered by the Vibram S1021 rubber outsole featuring a deep tread, providing excellent traction on a variety of surfaces. The anatomically contoured Absorba Plus insole supports the foot’s natural alignment within the boot, while also helping to inhibit bacterial growth and prevent odor. Enhanced shock-absorbing zones are incorporated to effectively reduce all impact experienced by the foot during vigorous activity on forested or rocky landscapes.

Quick-fitting system and spare laces included

Featuring a rapid lacing system, the shoe incorporates front lacing with 5 metal eyelets and 3 hooks. The set also includes an extra pair of laces.

Bennon Terenno High shoes - Green, this is already my third purchase of this model, and the second time I chose green. I use them intensively in various terrain conditions, mainly in forests and on gravel, also on wet ground. The latest pair has gone through some modifications, which I evaluate positively – the shorter rubber toe cap still protects effectively, but now it doesn't cause bends on the leather, so it doesn't crack on the upper. Instead of patches, thermal printing was used, which reduces the risk of snagging. The factory impregnation still works well, so I no longer have to do it myself. I come back to Bennon because I haven't found any other leather shoes as well-made and available. They hold the ankle well, are durable, simple, without unnecessary embellishments or commercial additions. They have everything needed for use in the forest and on gravel, and at the same time use modern solutions such as a vibram sole. In the photos, I compared a shoe after three years of heavy use with a new one after three weeks – no additional impregnation. Shopping at Militaria is also complete professionalism – the package arrives at the parcel locker the next day, which always pleasantly surprises me.

These boots are quite a good option for outdoor footwear. They are more trekking boots than tactical ones, which means the fit and terrain properties are at a high level here. I've seen many opinions saying these boots are light, but I'm not sure. One boot weighs about 680g. That’s not much, but my first impression was that they are solid and quite heavy. That’s mainly due to the sturdy, thick Vibram sole with a deep tread. The footwear is factory-impregnated, but rather poorly/briefly, so I recommend treating them yourself after purchase. A plus is also the 3 hooks for laces on one side instead of 2, which makes putting them on and taking them off easier. After several months of use (also in snow), nothing has come unglued. At this point, I am very satisfied.

I have been using them for a few weeks. They are not suitable for winter – at a temperature of -4°C, after 20 minutes of waiting at the bus stop, my toes start to freeze. However, during active movement, you don't feel the cold; it's best not to wear them at temperatures below -7°C. The material is quite stiff, you have to get used to it and break them in a bit. They seem sturdy and work great in bad weather. They are breathable and do not make your feet sweat. Overall, I am satisfied with them, although the lack of full protection in winter was a bit disappointing.

The shoes are very comfortable and look lightweight for trekking shoes. I appreciate that they are not heavy or bulky, which is important to me as a woman. They are comfortable to walk in, and the sole really cushions uneven terrain well. Standard sizing – I chose a larger size because I often use additional insoles, although it's not necessary because the shoes themselves are very comfortable. I definitely recommend them!

So far, I am satisfied with them. The fit is much better than in military boots. The sole is typical for outdoor use. The boots are solidly made and quite heavy. They come with two extra pairs of laces. The insole length for size 42 is 27.5 cm, measured between the extreme points at the front and back. The manufacturer states 27 cm, so it's worth mentioning. As for durability, I can't comment yet due to the short period of use. Made of quite smooth nubuck leather. They are factory-impregnated, but for the future, I recommend buying a suitable impregnator for this type of leather once the factory finish wears off.

Very well-made shoes, they look great. They aren’t too heavy, standard size. The shipment was fast, although the product packaging could be better—good thing both shoes arrived.

Purchased in June 2024. Felt great at first try-on, but after not very demanding hikes, it turned out that one shoe is shorter or curled up near the toes and it pinches as if it were too small (but it isn't). Quite heavy, for a Tatra expedition I'll definitely pass. On the plus side—they haven't let water in so far (but I don't know if it will be the same in the second season), very stable, non-slip. Plenty of advantages, but the discomfort while walking and my tired foot rule them out for longer hikes.

Great footwear. I'll admit, these are my first made of nubuck leather, so their maintenance is a great test of patience for me. But it's worth it, because after covering around 50 km in the heat, my feet were not soaked with sweat or chafed. The sole absorbs shocks excellently, and despite its thickness, allows precise feel of the ground, which helps the user's balance. In short, thick and tough on the outside, but soft and very comfortable inside. I think these shoes will work for people with any foot type, since someone with wide feet said they fit great, and I have narrow feet and get the same result. I recommend buying a dedicated brush and Cocciné spray wax plus Lowa Water Stop Eco impregnation. Read up on how to impregnate properly before you start, because nubuck, though stronger than suede, can still be damaged quickly. The insoles are as described. I highly recommend and do not regret the purchase.

The shoes are amazing, very good quality, look great, the price is also good, very comfortable, my husband is happy and hasn’t worn any other shoes since he got them, they even work well in severe frost, I highly recommend them.

Disaster, I've never had shoes whose laces don't hold at all, they come undone after 2 steps. I have to tie them around my ankle and make a loop, because just a simple bow won't hold... Very annoying...

The best winter boots I've had in my life. They work not only in winter, but in all other adverse weather conditions. They are very comfortable, waterproof, and easy to clean. Living in Iceland, I can't imagine functioning without them. I highly recommend them to everyone!

The shoes survived a year of hiking in the mountains of New Zealand, including climbing in very rocky terrain. Stable, comfortable, non-slip. I recommend them more for cooler temperatures. After 8–9 months of use, I had to replace the insoles because holes formed in the heels.

Shoes bought in spring 2023. Now the leather is cracked at the front near the rubber cover. They let water in. Used about 5 times in the Sudetes. Not very demanding routes. Besides that, on the fields in Silesia. Mostly dry routes. Maintained according to recommendations. At first, they were fantastic, but at some point, the leather could not withstand it.

Good shoes for trips to the forest, I waterproofed the leather and it turned almost black, which I actually like more. Good cushioning, and for this price, it's a successful purchase.

Shoes are well made, the size matches the chart, factory impregnated, which is also a plus. The Bennon brand speaks for itself. Now, I just have to wait for the frost.
